Concept: Does Final Fantasy really need an introduction? This one is actually quite different than other offerings in that it's a tactical game. The story revolves around the exploits of the main character and the quest to find the zodiac stones. Sorry, that's all I remeber.

Execution: In a word, Excellent. Largely ignored because of its nontraditional system, it still manages to be what is quite possibly the richest and most well thought out tactical systems ever. While it's not active time it uses a system where every action takes time to execute which is reflected in the AT list (AT is Active Time I guess). It's brilliant. The story is solid and has a few interesting plot twists. The leveling is instantaneous and JP (Job Points) are accumulated for use after battles. There are 20 jobs, each with their own distinct abilities and unique place on the battlefield. The sound track is also very well done and the sounds fit the play. I highly recommend scouring your used game store or local bargain bin for this. It should only be ten bucks at this point; a steal.
