Hmm....my favorite anime character, so many to choose from, but I'll go with the one that got me into anime in all its forms, Piccolo. He's my favorite DBZ character.

my favorite male character is takkun from fooly cooly and favorite female is radical edward from cowboy bebop.(At first when i saw her i didnt think i was a girl but at the end of the episode faye said it) and my favorite non-human character is canti from flcl.

Oh, I forgot about non-human characters. My favorite is probably Maya, the Phantom Cat, from Geobreeders. Although, Crimson Noble Mirabelle (from Wild Arms TV) comes in 2nd place just for being able to turn into a rather amusing pudgy bat. However, they both are still kind of human looking. Thus, I'll put in a vote for kuronekosama from Trigun.

What's there to like about Shinji? He's a whiny little loser boy who decides to merge all of humanity into one because he thinks people hate him.

*shrugs* dunno? He was the first character I saw when I first heard of Evangelion. I jus learned to deal with it all...plus he kinda reminds me of one of my friends.

Shinji is in a lot of ways part of all of us (and for a brief part of time apparently we were all a part of him). He's an aspect of ourselves that we all reject and hate, but for that same reason he's really easy to relate to, and to feel sympathy and empathy for.

And his dad and selee merged humanity, Shinji was the one that split it apart again! Get your facts straight!

male- Vash the Stampede. Plus, he's voiced by a well known cute guy we all know, worship, and love. ;)

female- Sailor Jupiter/Lita/Makoto - Sailor Moon

It's really hard to pin down my fav. anime character. The most popular as of late i'd say for me would be..

Akabane Kurodo from GetBackers is someone that i've always enjoyed to see in the series.

Ranma from Ranma 1/2 is a classic for me.

Tenchi Muyo cast, can't pick one because they all make up each other in there own way.

Eva McDowell from Mahou Sensei Negima. Enjoy reading the manga with her snarky nature.

Hinata from Naruto. Shy, powerful, and fixed on one guy. Whenever she's in a show I tend to enjoy her relationship with Naruto. Makes me think of many other anime series where the guy does not notice the girl next to him. Dears would be an example, or Midori No Hibi.

Shana from Shakugan no Shana. Even if she's bratty and annoying for the most part something about her persona sticks in my head as a good anime persona. Perhaps it's due to her flashback shows and all that jazz.

I could go on and on listing alot of different anime persona's that i've enjoyed and could count among my fav's.
