According to Hung, even 2-D animators have a hard time making manga work.
"They tried to use manga styles in [Disney's] 'Treasure Planet' and it didn't work," explained Hung, referring to the cartoon characters' large eyes and the art's bold contrasts. "They tried it with [Dreamworks'] 'Sinbad' (search), and that didn't work."
"The only way manga is going to make it here," said Hung, "is when they make it live action."

Uh... I don't actually think that was a Disney movie... Lemme do some research and get back to you on that.
EDIT: Right. It was made by Dreamworks. Says right in the article.

Fox isn't really good for anything.. Their programs suck, their news sucks and is unreliable, their logo sucks, their reps suck...

Is it a cartoon and made in america?
It's disney.
I don't care who made it, i'm dropping it in the disney-bin. Anything else goes in the toon bin, comic bin, or the anime bin.
Lightning_Fox - September 4, 2005 05:15 PM (GMT)
Where can I get some bins like that?
