Today I learned just how true the statement, "Anything you post on the internet, people can find."
First off, yes I have a blog, it's my store, called
Black and Blue Socks I use wordpress because I fail at html, and haven't advertised Black and Blue Socks because I didn't have much on there. And was enjoying having a personal vent box. And it's still got things to work out.
Anyway, I went to go see a fairly popular author speak yesterday, and wrote about it on the blog. Long rambling thing...one thing I did mention was how I bet I made a complete fool of myself in front of this lady, and that she never wanted to see me again. Believe me, I still don't think announcing to an author I read her book so I could get an extra credt is what they want to hear.
Today, the author, out of the blue, left a comment telling me she loved having me there and she'd definitely be seeing me when she was back in Dayton. It was kinda awesome, but awkward because I was very honest in what I wrote, and still am not sure I wanted her to read it. But if she wasn't offended, all's fine.
Lesson be learned though.
