Well, as the last person to ever hear about these things.

I don't quite understand, what exactly do they plan to do with this.

At the very least, Avi Araid has done good stuff, even with Spiderman 3 is on his shoulders. But otherwise all I will say is, they better put a lot of focus on the technology is GITS, and make it look good. Some sexy tachikomas would be nice(assuming they're in the managa, which I haven't read).

Eh, I won't get worked up though unless the announce a live-action Naruto movie. There's the potential for a good job.

But I kinda wonder, does it ruin the point of anime, as it's animated, to make a live-action film of it? Or just it offer a different view point? I know that live action films being made of anime isn't new, but I'm just wondering.

There are indeed Tachikomas is the manga.

I think just making a live-action of any anime is more like, Hey, how much more money can we get out of this?, but when it's an anime like GitS that touches upon so many philosophical and thought-provoking, it can be really worth it.

Though I enjoy seeing live-action versions of anything out of curiosity and for the opportunity to bitch about what they did wrong.

I have heard that they are planning, in the future, to make a live-action Battle Angel Alita (or Gunnm), as well, which is super-awesome but keeps being delayed.

Moar live-action cyborgs, plox.

I thought that what'd i'd do was act like one of those blind deafs.

this would be an awesome movie if they did a good job with it.
I don't think it'd be too hard to make, but than again i have no idea how to make a movie :D! I'd totally go to see it though.

...i wonder which actors they're going to pick for it...that's going to be very interesting xD

I hope they leave it as confusing, and sometimes hard to follow, as the anime was lol.
