Well, these boards are dead for the moment (maybe they'll pick up around field con?), but I had an odd experience last night that I wanted to share.

Basically I dreamt of the con, but not as it was. It was like reliving the convention combined with some strange summer camp. Well, there was still a hotel, but it was different. More white and antiseptic. Probably more like school than a hotel. If I remember more I'll post it.

Anyways, what dreams have people had that were con related? Either leading up to the con, afterwards (like mine was), or for that matter during (for those who dared to sleep)?

What does Anime Punch look like in the numinal world to you?

My only Anime Punch dream took place at the Hentai Olympics. It's kind of ironic because I have never seen the Hentai Olympics. It was based entirely on what people said at a staff meeting a few days before the dream. When I woke up and realized it was just a dream, I was like, "NNNOOO!!!" The dream also helped me come up with a new Hentai Olympics event that I haven't told anyone about yet.

There have been those who have said dreams have prophetic qualities. If this is truley the case perhaps you were seeing the future of fieldcon or it could be that Anime Punch is going to eventually get such a large and dedicated following that it eventually becomes a cult. Only the future will tell.

When I was like 16-20 I had a ton of dreams that ended up having a snippet that happened later...

Since I've been worked to death though, I don'r have that anymore.

I had a dream about AP before it happened...probably a day or two before. In fact I think it may have been the night before, in the hotel room.

I can't remember what it was, though. It wasn't weird enough to remember details. I'm trying to force it but it's not coming.

I recall a feeling of tension, however.

I had a con dream.

While at con. Haha.

It was Friday night.

We were supposed to have two other folks come with us but they couldn't get out of work to come to the con so that was kinda sad, but friday night I dreampt one of them had showed up, thrown their stuff in the room and was ready to go do stuff. I kept asking them in my dream how they got in the hotel room with out a key and they wouldn't answer me but it was amusing anyway.

It was kinda sad to get up and not actually have them there because yaaah. It was all like "poo....they don't get to have fun too".

I've had a couple dreams about con since con too, I don't remember them as well, but it ends up being Anime Punch being held in the convention center.

I haven't been dreaming of the con, but I keep having weird dreams of staff members. Like Yesterday I had one with Kyo and Bear in it. We had Dragonball Z Powers and were in this fortress/gas station. And Kyo and I were going to play D&D. And I just woke up from one where Michael was a manager at Giant Eagle and Me and a bunch of other misc staffers worked under him. There were naked people and we all smoked many cigarettes.

I do remember I had a few con dreams after the convention, but I don't remember them now.

Lol! My mom actually thought it was a cult, and she didn't want to let me go at first.

This was in 2006, because it was my first major con, and the first time I'd ever registered for one. For the pre-regers, you know the form says "Preferred way to die".

My mom freaked out and said it was a death cult. :lol:

any dream pertaining to punch should be a wet one

I once had a series of dreams where I was at an anime convention (I'm not sure if was anime punch or not) that was floating through space.

The dreams actually started out pretty well. Everyone seemed to actually be happy about starting thier new lives at this now apparently eternal anime convention, the consuite had an infinite amount of food (if you were there at the right time you could actually watch the food form), we still somehow got internet access which we used to get new anime after we watched everything we had at the con itself as well as for other purposes, we had a magic bag in the video game room that we could pull any game out of, and we quickly formed a small society.

Sadly things eventually went the way of an otaku version of lord of the flies. The staff became a police force, a social structure formed based of where your hotel room was located (the higher the level the more important you were) with refugees (people without hotel rooms) being on the lowest spectrum and the people on the top floor (mostly staff) being the highest tier, and anyone who commited crimes against the state was thrown into space.

There were actually a lot of other things that took place during these dreams but they were so detailed and built off other things that took place in the dreams that it would take way to long to type them out.

I have a lot of dreams about the con, but none I remember right now.

I think people have said before, I think my slice of heaven would be like that. That, or a library. Or maybe I could switch between the two?

I've never had dreams about Punch, though sometimes about sci-fi cons. It's probably good I've never had any either. ^_^

THAT'S what was missing. We didn't throw people into space. Next year, the attendees who break the fake rules (no more than two ball-jointed dolls can look at the same person at the same time unless it's Chuck, don't be that guy, don't attack during a transformation scene) should be brought to a mock trial on Sunday and then thrown into space.

cannot really say that i had a con dream... but my bud kenpachi..Paris.. said id have alot of fun at it and i doubted it at first..i mean i really would like to thank all the people that hung out with me at the con and talked to me.. i mean i made a whole bunch of new friends i hope... sept the girl i told put a shirt on at the rave... but it all was fun and i cant wait till next years con and the more to come once there is more money in my wallet... if anyone is in the southern WV area holler at me sometime jus PM me here and ill give ya my email and we chat it up and hang out sometime.
