Oh sweet, im glad you had a run-down of the panel. I kept telling myself i was going to go to it but i forgot about it after like 5 hours xD!

I miss when Toonami was on in the afternoon and they had a bunch of Anime like DBZ / Sailor Moon / G Gundam and other that i forgot about!

I miss the good ol' days: Toonami for hours in the day, Midnight Run airing uncut stuff at night, Rising Sun for weekend awesomeness, and a decent block on WB to put the icing on the cake.

Kids WB Toonami was good?! That's the first I've ever heard anyone say that. Glad someone liked it.

DBZ was EXTREMELY edited. It got better with time but HO BOY did they chop it. Blood? Out. Swearing? Out. The words dead, killed, and murdered (the next dimension for you! mwahaha!) they went so far as to change the COLOR of master Roshi's drink from brown to blue so no one would think it was beer. They edit EVERYTHING on toonami, even when they played the uncut midnight run everything was STILL cut.

Now that I think about it, they never actually ever did say "dead", "killed", or "murdered" or anything like that. It was always like "Oh no....Vegita...He's....gone!!"

Haha I actually found all the edits hilarious.

That reminds me that I still don't have any of the "uncut, uncensored" season boxsets -.-

I think he was referring to a recent rebroadcast, but I've heard nothing about it. Would be pretty epic.

I miss Cartoon Network and how it was. I know Toonami cut the hell out of everything, but half of us wouldn't have watched tons of DBZ or Gundam without it.

What I REALLY FUCKING MISS, is Adult Swim (right after the midnight run went out) when it was just on weekends and it shown nothing but anime from like 11pm to 3 or 4am. Some weeks they'd even be marathons of Yu Yu Hakusho and such.

...if you look at Adult Swim now... well, I'm just saying I'd rather be a victim of tentacle rape than watch a marathon of Tom Goes to the Mayor.

New Adult Swim: Aqua Teens, Tom Goes to the Mayor, Harvey Birdman, Home Movies, all these retarded shows I would not watch if you paid me. The only thing they have worth watching is Family Guy, and even that gets old when you've seen every episode multiple times..

I wonder if we sent in enough comments, Adult Swim would be willing to show it's old line up for at least a day....*sigh*

Adult Swim is putting Cowboy Bebop back on, or so I heard.

They've been showing it every once and a while, but hell i've seen cowboy bebop at least 50 times through by now xD

Aqua Teen, Harvey Birdman, and Home Movies were part of the originial Adult Swim. The only anime they had for awhile was Cowboy Beebop. Comedey has always been the major part of AS.

Gundam Wing was not part of AS. Outlaw Star was only part of it for a little while. Same with Yu Yu Hakusho.

AS did have all action on Saturdays long ago and a few times since then.

I remember Kikaider too. It was okay, but that was back when I was young and liked going to sleep before midnight, so I didn't see much of it.

Android Kikaider was an amazing show. The toku ain't bad either I here, I need t check it out.

Right now Bebop is just filling in an empty timeslot until Code Geass comes. They've played both parts of Jupiter Jazz, and now they're going to play The Real Folk Blues.

I also remember Cyborg 009...i think it was on the afternoon Toonami, not sure though.

It was, it replaced Yuyu Hakusho for awhile.

Huh, I never remember it being on during the afternoon. I always remember watching it at 12:30 in the morning or something.

gundam was apart of as for a really long time, just not gundam wing. and as was yu yu hakusho until it movies to toonami. when it did, inyuasha was introduced. and outlaw star had it's times just around a lot, but for a while it was a staple like bebop.

Anyone know if they still play Big O on AS late night Saturdays? I keep falling asleep and I feel as though i'm missing it!

I remember my afternoons at home watching them after school since it was usually on around 5 (i think that's when it ended cuz I remember being in a hurry to get home so I didn't miss anything) haha then I would get pissed when my grandma stood between me and the TV haha. I watched a LOT of DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho back then, and I really liked Cyborg 009 as well. those were the days that first got me into anime in the first place. I think Gundam was the one that I always missed cuz it took me a while to get home on the bus and I don't ever remember watching it. Saint Seiya was another one they played too, but it got seriously edited as well. for example . . . who the fuck has green or black blood? I mean seriously. It also reminds me of all the editing to Pokemon they did. They turned all the rice balls into sandwiches!

LOL apparently rice balls weren't deemed appropriate for American viewers... even though now in Diamond and Pearl they have rice balls...

So not cool.

...cause people would get confused on how ethical it would be to eat the reproductive system of male rice and of course all those commie reds have different blood; they can't be like us. and nor can we can't have children think philosophically to themselves and adopt other cultures into our own, that's just unamerican!
