Title: Post-con Pokemon Tournament evaluation

Yuffie - April 15, 2008 09:50 AM (GMT)
Definitely the highlight of the con for me. We had only eight people enter, including myself, and Lethal Beauty won. As stated before, the main problem with attendence seemed to be everyone thought it was on Sunday, my best way to suggest to remedy the problem would be to state that battle events is not a ds tournament in the description, and note there is one and give the page number for it.

It was a little hectic, but ran smoothly enough. And quite a few people said they'd like to enter next year.

I would also like to list a few things that I believe would make it run better next year, whether I host, or someone else.
-Time slot midafternoon or evening on Saturday.
-More space, whether that'd happen is another thing, but we were a tad crunched.
-More communication with the staff, a fault on my part
-Probably an actual time beforehand to register. Anything to make registration go better.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who showed up, thanks to Miccy for give me something to give everyone <3, Aaron for keeping me from backing out of this...how many times?, and Michael for coming up with this crazy idea in the first place.

Thanks a bunch! It was a lot of fun. Usually I don't get a prize from these things, so the sticker book really made me happy, haha. I FILLED OUT THE WATER POKEMON PAGES, YAY! *Flails!* 8D

Everyone post your friend codes!

Ye gods... I don't know if I can count that high.
Nah, just messing. I'm just too stubborn to stop believing in you and my confidence is well placed.

I've got a few ideas for next year that I'm kind of scratching out right now, I'll pitch them to you when I'm done.

Oh well, now I know who I have to train to beat to become the new Pokemon master!

Thanks, Janette :3

I didn't even get to play some of you! Also, it should be double elimination next time if it's that small again. X)

I personally only participated in the Brawl tournament (Bow to King DeDeDe!), and I thought it was very well ran.

Then only gripe I had in that one was that the person who was running the tournament, was in it, so when he was playing, you had to wait for him to finish.

Other than that, very well ran.

Whoa, hey, it's the awesome D3 player! Ryzen (the Falco that played you in epic matches at the tourney) wants your friend code. IM him at 'Ryzen Xia,' or me at 'Goddess Palutena' sometime so we can arrange a few battles.

Uh, that being said, wrong topic for this thread. :x

Haha, I noticed that just now, I went back here to see if this thread was responded to, and couldn't find it, I didn't expect it to be in the pokemon thread, lol.

Off topic- OH! I would love to play some friendlies with him. That was a great tournament, and we played some good matches. :)
