Alright, so it seems we'll be having quite a few people coming to Anime Punch this year cosplaying Gurren Lagann. At least if the thread in the cosplay forum is anything to go by. And I'm sure there will be more, as well as some from other series by Gainax. That's why I'd like to see if we can get a Gainax meet up going and possibly even a photoshoot.
With the con just two weeks away, I think it's safe to assume that people's plans are more or less chiseled out... barring unforseen misfortunes and the like. So if you are cosplaying a Gainax show or perhaps just want to get in on all that spiral power, post what you're going as and what times work for you.
I'll be there all three days as Lord Kamina. Pretty much any time works for me. Saturday would be nice. Nothing like a meeting of fans on your birthday ^^

Well we're definitely trying to iron out when we can have the Gainax shoot, as most of my crew is gonna be working cosplay on Saturday. ^^ (I have a Nia, Kittan and Viral!)

Are you only going to be in costume for Saturday? And when you say iron out do you mean an official time, or just what works for your group?

An official time that I can put on the schedule and in the program guide. Does Saturday at 3PM in the Cosplay meetup room work for you?
And yeah, we can only really cosplay on Saturday, unfortunately. :(

It works just fine for me. What I want to know however is whether or not the other cosplayers and enthusiasts will be able to make it. Hopefully they'll get a chance to post.
But even if they don't, having a solid time is good. It just means that I get to go around encouraging people at the con to join the BrigI MEAN... meetup.

I'm cosplaying a little on friday, but a lot less than I normally would. And Viral would especially get in the way of friday stuff for me, much less than my other cosplay. (Glooovessss. And cape. And scarf! Oy vey!)
Plus, staffing does tend to cut in to photoshoot time XD. I really think 3pm is an ideal time; not during cosplay, not during lunch or dinner. I'm hoping lots of folks can make it so we can set that
