Just got and charged my new (and first) camcorder.......so I am now fully ready to rock and roll for this....I can't wait!! *gryns* I've driven everyone at home and work NUTS waiting for this con!!

I have all but the very last minute necessaties packed....everything set up and planned out and double checked and copies of EVERYTHING made and checked and secured and packed....WHEEEE!!! *bounces happily*

Anyway, I guess I'll go quietly squee elsewhere....but just in case anyone else didn't know....as of this post, when I click 'Post New Topic', there are 16 days, 5 hours, 13 minutes and 35 seconds until Anime Punch!!!! YAY!!!

Or in other terms, reading that post at my rate (23 seconds), it would take 60922.391 readings until Anime Punch.

yay! i'm also so excited for the con i'm driving my friends/ family crazy. this is my first time going to anime punch but not my first con. when would be the best time to show up on friday?

I would say around noon because the first event is at 2 and if your not pre reg then you need to wait in line to get a badge.

is the wait realy long if you are preregistered?

I don't know, but i am guessing it is alot shorter then non-pre reg. :lol:

i really can't wait. A friend of mine is letting me use his Canon Rebel XTi during the con. I've got a new con-news website I am hopefully going to be opening.

Last year registration took a while to get set up correctly, due to a clerical error on the part of a volunteer, a printing error on the part of the printers, and a number of things I could have done better.

We are spending a lot of time and even money to make registration work well this year, so hopefully it will run a lot faster. Of course, even the best laid plans can fall appart, so who knows how it will work in practice.

Incidentally, in the past we've always planned simply with the mindset of "everything will get fucked up anyhow, so if it's simple that makes it easy to fix". This will be the first time we've diverged from that strategy.

*crosses fingers* Here's hoping for a smooth registration process. I like to think that last year, once everything got sorted out, it really did run smoothly, but it would be great to have no little fubars, yeah?

Still, even if you're there a little early, you can always hang out in the lobby with folks until events start once you do have your badge. You never know, you may meet some interesting people!

There are a lot of new things this year, a couple big behind-the-scenes projects that will hopefully lead to and even better experience in the future. But no information now... This group though, does seem to have it together were it is needed and are willing to try some new things.
