Title: Armored Core

Anyone else love this series? Last Raven was cheap and broken but AC4 really captured the spirit of building your own robot from the ground up.
I've tried multiple times to get AC tourneys going at cons, but no con has ever shown much support.

I absolutely LOVE Armored Core.
Back when I was like 12 my friend let me play his AC2 and I borrowed it for ages.
AC4 is my favorite so far but I haven't been able to play it too much.
Did you ever spend ridiculous amounts of time making an emblem for yourself?
I always loved fooling around with stupid weapon combinations x3

Armored Core 3 is my favorite. The Xbox 360 controller just does not work as well. It is so hard to aim and shoot at the same time since you have to take your thumb off the aiming stick to hit the fire buttons. I prefer the old PS2 method, which does not seem to be easily duplicated on the 360 (and least I never got it to work).

Armored Core 2 got me into the series for a while after it's launch.
1, 3, and 4 are my favorites.
Armored Core 4 is awesome. No one really plays online on the PS3, but when I played the 360 version I made a lot of friends between matches.
I love mixing up the styles, but I tend to stick with dual gatlings and twin missile launchers(usually the scattering kind) with missile companion units.

Nova, AC 3 is amazing. I know what you mean about the old control scheme, but even as early as Nexus and Nine Breaker the old style became too slow for the newer gameplay.
Kinda sad really.

You guys see AC4 has an expansion that releases in Japan this month? Apparently it supports bigger battlefields, 'transforming' units and mobile bases several kilometers long.
Armored Core For Answer.

Whoa, transforming units? Will I finally be able to live my Macross/Zeta Gundam dreams? Any news of this coming to the US? Is it an "upgrade" via disc or download?
Eh, the old style was fast enough once you got used to it. I always preferred speedy Cores and fighting fast enemies who could keep up.

From Wiki:
Armored Core For Answer is a video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is the 13th installment of From Software's Armored Core series. Armored Core For Answer is the sequel to Armored Core 4, and takes place over a decade later. Massive weapons called Arms Forts are the main adversaries in the game. Due to their large size (some several kilometers long) they must be taken apart piece by piece, in particular, they each have a weakness which must be exploited to fully defeat them. AC customization has been enhanced with a better interface and approximately twice the number of parts found in Armored Core 4. Online mode returns with a new cooperative mode along side the player verses mode. Gameplay enhancements included a power increase for both Quick Boost and Over Boost, as well as an auxiliary high speed booster known as Vanguard Over Boost (VOB).
Also;
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FgN9SD5Zzz0&feature=relatedIt did a low level streamlining for flight in one scene? So I wonder about the level of transformation the cores can undergo.
