Where r u going? a trip? can i come?

wolf - March 1, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Not to be emo but I would rather not talk about things. I'm really upset right now so I need a break from the forums.

Yuffie - March 1, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)
Okay, well hope all goes well, and you return soon.

amyloveyou87 - March 1, 2008 05:45 PM (GMT)
Im sorry, i hope you feel better soon. If you need any one to vent to feel free to PM me.

KaiserMikeB - March 1, 2008 07:12 PM (GMT)
Two in a week, I wonder if we have become too harsh lately?

amyloveyou87 - March 1, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Never ;)

sesshouga - March 1, 2008 07:27 PM (GMT)
Who was the other person?

amyloveyou87 - March 1, 2008 07:52 PM (GMT)
I am sure if you go look around in cosplay you could find out, but i think it is MoonlightsCurse.

sesshouga - March 2, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
That's who I was thinking because I realized that I hadn't been annoyed lately :P But I wasn't 100% sure because I don't remember her making any official announcements of leaving.

Agreed.

Yuffie - March 2, 2008 02:11 AM (GMT)
I think Mike means Smokie. :/

Vincent - March 2, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
I think maybe people are just starting to enter their "am I getting too old for anime?" phases.

Kamiokande - March 2, 2008 04:16 AM (GMT)
Then they should hurry to the "No" phase and then move on to the "When I was your age, we watched Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure fansubs on video tapes two weeks after the last episode on each tape was first shown in Japan and they included parody subs of the commercials" phase that I've been stuck in for quite a while now.

That sort of describes my situation, Vincent. My anime dry spell has just about reached a year. The only thing that keeps me tied to going to the convention is that I feel like I owe it to people to not cancel (though a few weeks ago, I was counting on some kind of excuse to come up because I felt like-- well I was just inadvertently pissing everyone off). Honestly, I can't keep up with any sort of recent anime-driven discussion. I've watched like three episodes of Gurren Lagaan and one episode of Lucky Star. Meh. The most consistent I've been with my anime viewership since May was eight episodes of Sailor Moon R.

amyloveyou87 - March 2, 2008 06:03 AM (GMT)
I only watch old anime, i have never seen a eps of naruto.

KaiserMikeB - March 2, 2008 06:45 AM (GMT)
I meant Smokie.

Anime spells can come and go, there have been some stretches where I haven't seen much for a while. Sometimes I think it has to do with who you have to watch it with. Lately I've been watching a lot more because I have people around who also get excited about things.

I would like to think that if there was a convention in Ohio for fans of classic stuff, ours would be it.

Vincent - March 2, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
Where as I'm all alone in the middle of Hick Town, USA. and the only thing I hear even mildly anime related from these people is like, "Thats one o them pokemans right?"

XD lol

I'm serious. It's not even funny. One of the counselors at Laurel Oaks was telling me how she took French in highschool. I said, Yeah.. They didn't offer French at Lynchburg. She was like.. "I can see why." *southern accent* "We we y'all" That's how bad it is. These people.. Are so stupid.. They probably think were still at war with Japan. ><

Yuffie - March 2, 2008 06:18 PM (GMT)
Least it's not forever Vincent. Personally, I can't wait to leave my town.

I've really cutback on how much anime I watch nowadays, depending on if you count Alien Nine. Princess Tutu is honestly it. I really don't know what's avaiable, if it's anything I'm interested in, and I for awhile there's no one I talk to often enough to be of any help. ^_^; I just need to sit in a video room at a con. Or start a topic on here.

Guess I'll repeat myself, and say I miss Animerica a lot. Thing is though, I haven't had anyone to watch with except the twin occasionally, my main companion went to UD this year, and anyone else I talked to about it, I don't talk to as much anymore. But I seem to be getting back into it once more, considering picking up Tactics. x3

I remember at the butt-end of the Pokemon craze, the rides at the waterfront for the fourth of July included "PokieMan" the ride! It was basically a haunted house converted with a new paint job. I don't know if they did that for fear of copyright infringement or if it was because of the fact that people around here just don't welcome the e with an acute accent. Also, read over some menus in the Huntington, WV; South Point or Chesapeake, OH; Cattlesburg, KY, area ... we still at some spots have "freedom fries."

Eh, hicks, it's pretty normal for a person to take pride in their origins... And you'll find no matter where you go people are going to be ignorant. It's just way easier to tell with hicks because they're so... proud of it and pretty loud about it, too.

No I'm not entering that. Its personal issues. I just hope I can go to the con in peace. I'm sorry for those I upset. :(

I still watch anime but the current ones I'm watched are Claymore, Tsubasa, Cutey Honey OAV. Tsubasa I'm not that attached to because there missing parts of it from the manga that are main plots. I need something new that doesn't seem like a repeat.

Yes, yes it was.
Sup, neighbor?

wolf - March 5, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)

How are we going to hook up and be crazy if you don't come, Biggs? D:

I kinda have lost touch with anime lately. since my newtype usa magazine subscription ended last year. I don't know whats good any more. BUT the good thing is that I still haven't completed some of my anime collection so I usually run out when I save enough money and buy another installment from our comic book store. I am still watching green green, hellsing, tenchi muyo gxp and ranma 1/2. but the only problem with ranma 1/2 is you have to buy it online. which sucks for me becuse I don't have a credit card. I never had the money to own one. but yeah I hit a little bit of a dry spell. I am still waiting for a call from the rest of my list of employers but no one has called me in days. I guess I am stuck with my old job for a couple weeks. but when I get a new job I will have money to buy anime again and I won't be so bored. :D
