Krissy - February 22, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)
How I hate being under 21. -shakes fist at the world-

Nameless - February 22, 2008 08:43 PM (GMT)
I'M IN!!!!!!!!

Miccy - February 22, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
Mmm, how many of us forum people are under 21, Krissy? <3

Lol. Sounds like fun, guys. ;] <3

Rakuen - February 22, 2008 08:59 PM (GMT)
I am also under 21.

Exactly. ;]

Ha, you kids are crazy.

Sadly, I'm one of those light weight ones, who gets tipsy off of a wine cooler.

;D Its nice to know I can get you drunk that fast, Krissy. <33

So I assume your attending punch?!

Yuffie - February 22, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
Lightweights...

I got tipsy/a little drunk after merely sampling a few wines at thanksgiving. -.-

Ah, I avoid the stuff as much as possible, yeah, wise choice for a 16 year old.

Miccy - February 22, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
I don't really drink, but I'm not scared to taste the lot. :]

You'll have me in your bed real quick.

but yeah, I think Bear's kind of making me go.

Miccy - February 22, 2008 10:49 PM (GMT)
:] Sounds awesome. I'm glad your goin'.

Codi - February 23, 2008 12:21 AM (GMT)
Also, I'm hosting the event aptly named "Drinking Songs", which takes place in the hotel's bar while we belt out the Pokemon theme and various anime songs. If you wanna meet some 21+ people and chill with em at the con, this is a good social ice breaker event to attend. ^_^

Krissy - February 23, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
Yet another reason I hate the fact all my friends are over 21.

Seriously blows.

KaiserMikeB - February 23, 2008 03:14 AM (GMT)
It should be noted that despite all outward appearance, we will not be tollerating underaged drinking, ESPECIALLY if they are drinking booze bought by the convention.

Jnkolm - February 23, 2008 03:20 AM (GMT)
it should also be noted that I personally believe drinking for the sake of drinking blows the big one. Now if an event goes on that is entertaining without drinking but drinks are added, then sounds fancy. I was one of those few under-21s that knew ahead of time drinking isn't the greatest source of excitement there ever was.

Centaura - February 23, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
Are you going to have those anime-themed drinks this year? I didn't get the chance to try any last year, and I kind of wanted to know what a liquefied Pikachu tasted like.

Also, alcohol is always fun for me. I'll probably check out this Drinking Songs thing you've got going, Codi.

Most of the people in my group are over 21, and the one who isn't wouldn't drink if he was. So we're good.

This is not Biggs - February 23, 2008 06:23 AM (GMT)
I'll only be 2 months under twenty-one. But when June swings around-- free at last...

What pisses me off isn't so much the alcohol, it's that I can't get into (some) bars. I'm apparently too young to enjoy music-- shunned from The Dame because of my age. I missed out on a long list of awesome performances. And it's bullllshit because James and Josh, these two kids that graduated the year after me play there all the time... Their band isn't even good; they hardly deserve the privilege!
And it won't matter now because The Dame's been at a slump recently for bookings.

QFA

Nowadays, I don't touch it. Smart choice for a 16 year old I suppose. :P But I probably never will, just personal reasons.

And the fact I get drunk ridiculously fast, and get ridiculously giddy and angry, which is a poor combination.

Krissy - February 23, 2008 01:26 PM (GMT)
I dont drink to drink.

I drink because it tastes good. :]

Plus the fact that, uhm, I don't generally get along with people my age. Because they're all flipping idiots. Yeah, that doesn't help. PEER PRESSURE.

Note that the first time I ever drank, I was 17 and with a group of my older friends, so it's not like I've been doing it forever.

Codi - February 23, 2008 02:07 PM (GMT)
No one has to be defensive about it or justify it - we're just saying we don't tolerate it.

Centaura, I plan on bringing most all of the drinks back ^_^ We might omit and add a few more though, who knows!

Krissy - February 23, 2008 03:18 PM (GMT)
I know at sugoicon under 21's weren't even allowed to hang out with people who were drinking.

Is that going to be the same way at AP? Am I going to have to wander the halls picking my nose because all my friends are drinking, therefor I'm not allowed to be anywhere near them?

Jnkolm - February 23, 2008 07:24 PM (GMT)
heh, if you weren't allowed around people who were drinking then you wouldn't have been allowed into almost half the panels I took an interest in. Don' know what that drunk guy's name was..

And I'll probably try to see about making this drinking songs panel, if we're allowed to contribute drinking songs that is. I have at least a few (not anime-related however), though I can only remember two very well. Mein Bruder might be able to recall some others.

hmm, yea just don't drink on an empty stomach. Not all people are blessed with the blood of the Irish like I and some other of my family members. And if you at least hang with Mike you won't be drinking garbage.

KaiserMikeB - February 23, 2008 08:17 PM (GMT)
We won't be strict about where alcohol is served or who is in the room, just who it is served to.

Miccy - February 23, 2008 08:23 PM (GMT)
:[ I hate when underage kids search for alcohol...and then find it.

trainerjeff - February 24, 2008 05:24 PM (GMT)
like krissy i drink because its a great social lubricant. its much easier to talk to people because if you say something stupid you can always blame it on the alcohol. lol. when my friend actually gets our room i will make sure people know where it is, but depending on how many ppl want to come, because i will also bring my wii, 360 etc etc, will depend on how much we bring.

Wooo, awesome.

This year I am trying as many of them as I can. It's just too original and different for me to pass up.

amyloveyou87 - February 25, 2008 09:55 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a fun party, drinking is a great social lubricant.

hi2525 - March 8, 2008 07:31 AM (GMT)
If only I was not allergic to alcohol.

/end random

What would be good to mix with Bawls? other than more Bawls. Also i plan on baking sweet things for the party and the con what sweet things do you guys like?

And it won't matter now because The Dame's been at a slump recently for bookings.

Not to mention that it is going to be leveled soon right along with Buster's and the old hat shop and the other places there for some massive hotel that supposedly is going to bleed over into Phoenix Park.. -_-'

Development sucks, but yeah. I imagine they will book some massive going out blast before it's closed up completely.

Assuming you are referring to The Dame here in Lexington..

And wha?? Alcohol? Party? Singing?

A mandolin and Flogging Molly/Cherry Cokes-esque versions of anime themes should be involved if only for a few minutes.

Baking is black magic and lies.

I should grill up a rack of ribs.

trainerjeff - March 14, 2008 09:18 AM (GMT)
bawls and jager might be good. it would be a combination of dr jager (dr pepper and jager) and a jager bomb

amyloveyou87 - March 14, 2008 05:10 PM (GMT)
I waa thinking that, i love jager bombs. Know i know what to bring to the con.

Drakitha - March 14, 2008 07:11 PM (GMT)
Jager is the best. =D

trainerjeff - March 15, 2008 04:02 AM (GMT)

amyloveyou87 - March 15, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
