Title: Webcomics?
Description: Any one creating/created one?

aisazia - February 14, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
Hiya! New here, just curious if anyone has or is creating a webcomic?

I'm still in the process, I have a few pages up at etherealvoices.comicdish.com but it's far from finished. It's currently on hiatus as I get faster and the script for it more completed. You can check out some random pin-ups of the main characters on my dA at drgnspirit.deviantart.com.

Just was curious as to how many of you out there want to or has created a comic/manga?

Well, I always start one, then I get dicouraged because I think I'm doing something wrong. I'm currently trying to redraw some pages of a webcomic I started. And I'm brainstorming where I'm going with a new webcomic I plan to debut!

What I really want to do is get enough pages done so I can sell a first issue at a convention. @_@ But putting together pages is a tough job!

Well, anyway here's a page with some of mine ... I'm on haitus, of course, but they're there! xD

I'm still learning on drawing poses right so not for awhile. I did start character designs however but they'll probably be on my devianart sometime.

I do a web comic, I'm always changing the look of it *LOL* It's called Monkeytale. I will be selling some books at my table of it.

Wow I like how Garanos is made. Of course I've seen Paliana's stuff before ;) Etherealvoices looks pretty interesting, I'm a webcomic addict *LOL*

I have one, too, but I never update it and it looks like hell anyway. I have half a mind to just scrap the whole thing and start over, because at least now I have better drawing skills and a panel template. Also I have better fonts now.

My friends keep annoying me about it, of course...one of these: "Hey, you know that webcomic? Teriyaki Savior? Yeah, it was cool, but that idiot who writes it never updates!", using stronger language.

Link is in my sig, if you were to want to see it. Lol.

Your webcomic is pretty fun, Centaura.

Your webcomic is pretty fun, Centaura.

Thanks :3

I really need to work on it...I have two unfinished strips still lying around my room as it is...

Wow I didn't expect this many replies! Thanks everyone! Didn't realize a lot of people have tried/started a comic. XD Thanks for responding! I'll have to take time to look at or read them but I've been so busy lately. <_<

@Paliana: Yeah, I know what you mean. I wanted to do at least the first chapter of EV done but I don't think I'm going to get it completed in time. Hopefully you can though! :D

@Alex: Oh I've seen yours around, I started reading it but I started getting too busy so I still need to finish it. <<; I'll finish it eventually!!! :P

@Kittytreats: Thanks, sadly I've started before writing the script so I'm taking a hiatus until I finish or get most of it done. XD Monkeytales looks interesting as well! lol I like the name already, I'm an addict too, which sorta explains why I started this thread. XD I'll have to take some time later to look at yours. ^_^

@Centaura: I know what you mean, I've sadly done that too. I put mine on hiatus cause I couldn't do things fast enough and it was horribly planned out. XD Hopefully I can get it up running quickly though but it's not like I had a lot of fans to begin with or lose. haha

I've had WAY too many projects I've started and killed off, so my next ones I want to have complete before I lay a pencil on the final pages. But right now I'm in the process of completely overhauling two projects of mine.

One, which started out as "Pirate Terminators", was a mess; I started out having no idea what it was going to be like, so it continually changed over its course. The last version of the storyline I had featured a girl who transversed from her dimension into our own during the age of pirates, and she had the power to shapeshift into an evil (but more powerful) alternate version of herself. The story was too convoluted, and a lot of the aspects of the story just seemed to improvised, plus it moved too far away from its original intended genre of comedy. The version I'm working on now (Tentatively titled Punk-Pink Pirates) so far has a more cohesive plot, and a bit less gimmicky I think, but I'm kinda hesitant to put out any details about it just yet.

The other is another remake of an older comic I had, the original named HapoVille, which was originally an American cartoon-styled book with anthropomorphic animals as the main characters. It's since been overhauled into a comic tentatively called The Jackal God, which is a much darker take on the series and features a kind of Victorian-era play-style setting. It's a bit further along in development, and it'll probably be the first one I put out, but even then it may be a while.

I'm in the process of being IN a webcomic. It's hush hush though, so I can't give you more then that. Lol.

@Hapoppo - LOL I know what you mean, I keep starting stuff and not finishing it. It's starting to be a bad habbit. Hopefully I can break it soon. XD Good luck with your projects though! They sound really interesting!

@Vincent - ROFL *zips lips* Alright, hope you have a blast with that.

I've been running a webcomic since 2006, i started the story all over again last year so i could do a bit better job with the art and story writing, Legend of Terrar is kinda like one of your run in the mill fantasy webcomics.
