So... whaddayah all think about that Halo 2?

I don't see the thrill, but that might be because I suck at it so bad that the mere thought of it nearly depresses me. At a friends house, I got talked into playing it a couple times, and I was sick of it, after the first 93 times getting killed in a row. To this day, I still wish I could have enjoyed it, but...

Yeah, considering we have a videogame section in the general area, I think I'm going to move this on over there, and call you a moron.

That being said, I think Halo two, while not nearly as good as the original, is an excelent first person shooter, and probably the best online game you can play. The number of hours I have spent playing is sickening.

You know, now that I think about it, I have to haul my back end over to the neighbor's house to play Halo 2....I mean, I'm horrible at it, but I've only ever played twice. So, I might possibly gain better skills. One can dream.

PS Halo is better than Halo 2...but that's not saying much.

The biggest problem with Halo was probably the game balance. the pistol was better than...well, everything. Doesn't that seem even remotely fucked up? Machinge gun? Hopelessly Innaccurate. Needler? Not enough ammo. Rocket launcher? WAY slow to reload (dont miss kiddies!). Shitgun? Sadly weak. Fuel rod gun? Far too rare and far too easy to roast yourself. little laser pistol-thing? WEAK. pulse "rifle"? Mediocre at best. Then add the vehicles and any shred of competetiveness is lost in a hail of tank cannon-fire that goes mostly straight no matter HOW far away the target is. A jeep rip-off that you need TWO sacrificial fodders to man just so you can move and shoot at the same time. A wannabe punk ride that cant decide whether it's a plane or a motorcycle and ends up failing at both. A jet that flies slow and has the handling of a hummer with flat tires.
