Hey everyone, I just finished putting up and creating the website so that people can book online at the AP group rate. You're booking directly with the hotel, so there isn't any national phoneline BS that we have had to deal with in the past.

The info is on this page, aptly named INFO.

I haven't actually been able to test it myself, so you might actually have to join Priority Rewards to book through it.

I hope it helps people out, it's actually a lot more nicer for people who are looking for specific room types. (1 King vs 2 doubles)

I made my reservation through it. Pretty nifty-- it even has Ann & Penny on the top of the page.

I signed up with through the priority membership thing but it's not a big deal. It's just basically a little system where it can keep track of all the Crowne hotels you stay at so you can earn points and get a fun mailing list (which getting email notifications is optional).
It's just the way the layout is set up for the site. It makes you think you need to sign up for priority membership, but if you just use the sidebar to the left you can skip the offer and just book using the special code (ARM).

So none of the rooms have a fridge? Bummer.

Ah okay, good to know. I don't honestly mind signing up with those things (I already am a Days Inn and Marriott member), but some people are iffy.

I hate calling on the phone, and I was dreading booking the hotel, esp. since I've never booked one in my life before.

This was quick, simple, painless and easy (so far...we'll see how much trouble we'll have once we get there!)

Do you think rooms will still be available around St Patrick's day-ish?

Possibly. Hotel booking ends March 28th, so there will probably be those last-minute rushes. If you can go ahead and book it now, I'd do it now instead of waiting.

How do we get the con discount if we book online?

If you click on the "check availability" button, you'll see that we have a group code - ARM - which is how we're able to post the group rate online. It's a special site that the hotel created for us, and I posted it up here so everyone can us it! ^_^

The only difference is is that I want everyone to take advantage of it, and quickly - there's no middleman, no national line BS like we had to deal with last time, and it lets you choose exactly what kind of room you want.

The only thing I ask from the congoers is to book expediently - We went out of our way to set this up for you guys, I want you guys to do this, so we *can* fill up the hotel with our people and no one gets stuck possibly paying full room price. (pss deadline is March 28th unless otherwise noted)

Apparently, if your 18 and over, the hotel can e-mail you a form allowing you to check into the hotel using your parent or guardian's credit card without them being there.

So what's going on with the hotel situation, I'm under the impression that rooms are sold out, and if so, what are alt. hotels in the area?

If we're sold out I'll find out tomorrow, at last checking there were still a few rooms left.

Rooms aren't sold out, when I checked last night there were still King bed rooms available.
