Lightning_Fox - August 18, 2005 03:37 AM (GMT)
several people told me to join this forum... so I did... What's the point of this place? Someone give me a hug... I'm sad..

Kaisermikeb - August 18, 2005 04:05 AM (GMT)
Hi! These forums are for talking about and creating the amazingly cool convention Anime Punch, which you are now going to. Http://animepunch.org
...but we mainly just burn each other, which you're great at, so we thought you would enjoy it here on these essentially unmodded forums!

Hellsing - August 18, 2005 12:37 PM (GMT)

Fanboy signs are fucking retarded and I strongly suggest to Mike that we have a death squad to end such faggotry at the convention.

Kaisermikeb - August 22, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)
I'm not really big on "Rules" You can hold up a sign if you want

but we're all going to make fun of you for it, especially if it's some cheap, shallow, uninspired, attention-whoring, fan-brown-nosing, wanna be fangirl sign like "Pocky for Hugs"
Yes, feel free to hold it... if that's the kind of person you are!

Anyhow, Lightning Fox clearly didn't stick around, so... foshizzle

RBGCloud - August 22, 2005 04:38 AM (GMT)
Meh, I'll get him back. He's been hitting on me at the Ikasucon forums, so I'll catch him there and lure him back in.

Kyo_RBG - August 22, 2005 11:45 PM (GMT)
Craig if you describe anything with any derivitive of the word faggot you're gonna be one hell of a lot shorter.

Get over yourself, Kyo. Taking a word seriously is about as smart as taking ME seriously.

RBGCloud - August 23, 2005 02:11 AM (GMT)
Seriously, Craig, you're lucky I let you slide this time. Please don't use it anymore.

You should totally pre-register! You know you want to go!

Lightning_Fox - August 24, 2005 06:03 AM (GMT)
I have a limit... I've already gone to 4 cons this year... Sugoi being my 5th

RBGCloud - August 24, 2005 11:01 AM (GMT)
Good thing Anime Punch is next year then! ^_^

Kaisermikeb - August 24, 2005 07:26 PM (GMT)
Yeah, you have 8 months to prepare!

Plus, we are the con for people who go to lots of cons! We don't do anything the same, so even though we have the same framework, it ACTUALLY FEELS NEW for a change!!

Lightning_Fox - August 25, 2005 05:36 AM (GMT)
Dazzle me with something awesome and I'll really consider it... So it's in...april? What's so different about it?

Well, I'm there for one.

A lot of cons don't have me there so they're not as awesome.

Lightning_Fox - August 25, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
are you hot? post a pic of yourself... Maybe I'll go... ^.~

Ha ha, not hot, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm awesome.

RBGCloud - August 25, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
I'm gonna be there! And you were hitting on me enough in the Ikasucon forums, that should be enough,
RBG (Random Battle Group) is going to be there, if you like RPG's.
There's the Hentai Olympics if you like that sort of thing, too.
There are so many reasons to come it's not even funny.

Craig - August 25, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
And some of the reasons to come ARE funny.

I'll tell you what they are when I figure em out though.

Kaisermikeb - August 25, 2005 04:27 PM (GMT)
We're different because of a lot of little things, and then a few big ones.

The two biggest things would probably be our events, and our attitude.
We succeed in creating totally original events that no one has ever seen, but that many will soon try to steal. We have a Rocky Horror Cosplay Show, a Swimsuit cosplay contest, an End of Evangelion Puppet show, a documentary room, a dating sim room, a giant wad of duct tape that we call a Katamari and have people roll around the parkinglot picking up crap, etc.
Attitude wise... we're far more dedicated than most, and we're far more "fun". We're building the con we want to hang out at. We arn't going to create a lot of unneccessary rules, and we're even going to be pretty lax about the few we have. As long as everyones having fun and nobody will get hurt, it's cool. So hold your signs, carry your swords, etc. Likewise, we don't reject ideas for events because they are "too edgy" or "too much of a risk".
Despite our irresponsible side, we are a lot of more organized than a lot of cons as well. For one, we've promised to get an events schedule out by February. Two full months before the con. Even Otakon didn't get their out until THREE DAYS before the con. Most cons you get the schedule at registration. Some you never get one!

Not to mention, we do anything that is requested of us, and we do it well.

Oh, and if it's eye candy you're looking for, we have some very attractive girls on staff wearing some very attractive outfits in a few choice events!

Are we following through with no live steel and guns need to have an orange plastic saftey tip?

Kaisermikeb - August 25, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
The hotel only had a problem with guns, so...
For now at least I don't have a big problem with people carrying a sword around. Swinging it wildly is a different situation, and will result in much being-taken-out-back-and-being-beat-with-a-rock

RBGCloud - August 25, 2005 07:17 PM (GMT)
Mike, if all else fails, at least allow peace-tied weapons.

HA HA HA

Don't worry I will.

I have to get an armed escort when I tread upon government property since they have a "no dangerous ordinace allowed" posted. They chain my arms behind my back with adamanitium links and have extremely powerful sedatives for my wang.
