Im planning on going but would like to know how big the dealers room is and what kind of stuff is sold

Our dealers room will have roughly 30 slots (probably between 10 and 20 unique dealers). We should have all range of dvds, teeshirt, swords, food, cultural stuff, etc., with merchandise being the most common thing.

Yay for Bawls being at 7-11's everywhere here.

But I love those guys, they gave me two free Bawls with my purchase of...a lot of money.

That little jingle was driving the snack booth (by the game rooms) guys crazy though. XD

Next question- How big of a room are we cramming these 30 dealers in? Will there be walking room? xD

It wasn't THAT bad last year. The only worry I really had was trying to avoid knocking over the sword racks.

I also waited for times when it wasn't so crowded, though.

I guess I picked the wrong times to check out the dealers room. It reminded me of the prison scene in the movie Four Feathers, only with cosplayers.

AS lng as there is food, I'm happy. Usually I ge a hankerin for a snack but don't want to make a real food run, just snag something a scarft it in a panel. Plus it's the only time I can find the gummies I want, none of the asian grociers here carry them. I weep with sadness over my lost cadies,

Are any of these dealers good model dealers. Last few cons I've been too have been lacking in model kits.

Patlabor, Gundam and Armored Core retailers and etc.

It's getting hard to find good model dealers. Even at Otakon I wasn't very impressed with what all I saw.

With the hentai dealer....Do they I.D? I want some good yaoi and havent been able to find any in the crappy little town I live in....

They ID if you want to purchase, but as far as I know not to look. So it's easy enough to go find what you want then get someone over 18 to buy it for you, that's what I did last year.

Well, I'm not sure that there is a SPECIFICALLY hentai dealer, but several of them sell...adult merchandise.

will the company that is selling contacts be there again?

When I was under 18, they would attempt to card even for looking through it. At least, they did me (probably because I look like I'm 13)

You also might want to realize buying porn/hentai/yaoi for someone underage is illegal, and you can be charged for it, if you're found out. Maybe I'm just an asshole, but I wouldn't buy yaoi for some little 16 year old.

16 year old girls have no need to look at dicks going into black holes.

But 18 year olds do. Woo. 2 years. << Anyway, the dealers are usually pretty cool, I mean, the guy saw me walk up to the guy and ask him to buy it, still sold it though. xD

Acen is only decent when dealers are selling old kits for cheap.

Picked up the 0083 Val Varo and things like HG Dunbine models and NG Victory kits from the early 90's for like $5 a pop 2 years ago.

Especially disappointed that the only kits getting love are the current series releases. Seed and 00 are all over the place, and while I don't hate the mechanical designs from them, sometimes you just want to cuddle up with a Zaku II or Gouf.

Non-Gundam kits are even harder to find. =/

Now that's a mental image that will scare an astrophysicist.



About current releases being the only ones getting love- is that the case for merchandise in general? I'd like to replace my Gunslinger Girl wall hanging with something from one of my favourite series, instead.

you guys really like that Bawls drink dont you? sounds like a money making idea selling it out of my trunk since i can get cases of it for way less than store cost.
they make a cherry flavored one now too but i've only seen them in the cans and not bottles.
