What Voice actor/actress Guest should come too anime punch08.
I personaly think Yuri Lowenthal and Chrispen Freemen should be there

Unfortunately Crispin will most likely not be returning this year. We have had him for the last two years and I want to keep things fresh and not just keep bringing the same guests back again and again. It will be difficult to find a good replacement for him, as he is a man of tremendous intellect, has a lot of interesting things to say, and is always popular with the fans. I hope to bring him back in future years, but for this year at least I am not planning on having him back.

Personally I would like to know what people think about Brian Swaile. He plays Quatre and Amuro from Gundam, and Light in Deathnote (amung other roles).

Crispin Freeman has been there before, in fact, didn't he come both years?

Same with Tristen McAvery.

I think repeat guests are nice, especially because Crispin actually gets into the con experience and wanders about. I ran into him playing with swords in the dealer's room last year.

I'm excited to see who's here this year, though. A more diverse array would be welcomed, of course.

Also, I never liked Quatre much but that's a matter of character, not voice actor. That he is Light would be a good reason to want him there, since Death Note is so recent.

I've wanted to see Kirby Morrow (Trowa from Gundam Wing) ever since he ditched one Otakon.

Hmmmmmm Mike must have ran out of things to blackmail Freeman with. A shame because the man is fucking dreamy. Although now Hellsing and Eureka 7 can be thrashed hardcore at Your Favorite Anime Sucks.

As for Swaile hes a fine guest in my book but you really need to get whoever was the voice actor for Ramba Ral. Now that would be a pimp guest.

Hrm, I can't say I have much experience with Brian Swaile. I haven't really watched anything he's been in, in a while. That said, having Light's voice actor would PROBABLY serve to bring in some fans of Death Note. So, I say, yes.

Is Tristan coming back? Even if we HAVE had him the past few years, I do so enjoy hanging out with him.

(By the way, are we going to be shooting for any japanese voice actors? For some reason, I'm having a stupidly hard time thinking of american voice actors that we, or another con in the area, hasn't done recently. At least, voice actors that aren't obscure.

...Wait, we like obscure stuff, don't we?)

By the by, and this is probably a given, but I would love if we continue to stay away from the standard group of ADV VAs that comes to so many of the Ohio cons. Nothing against them, it's just variety is the spice of life, yannow?

He's done a few roles I'm familiar with. Tochiro in the GE999 movies stands out, and is fairly badass.

However if Lenore Zann was there as well, it'd be pretty heavenly. She also did Aisha Clanclan in Outlaw Star, but not too much else note worthy. I can still dream of Haman being with her darling Ramba Ral again though.

Oh sure I'm up for Amuro otherwise.

I always strive to bring in new talent and keep the region from getting completely stale. I try to be the first con in the region to bring in new musical acts and voice actors (or at least the first in a while). It's not that we don't like Greg Ayers or Caitlin Glass, in fact I have had nothing but great experiences with both of them, but you do get to see them elsewhere easily enough, and I rather we diversify the con scene, not solidify it. (This is why we don't follow other con trends either).

Tristan has only been to one AP, and is returning again this year. Since he lives so close by, and is such a hoot that I may never cut him from my line up.

The voice of Ramba Ral doesn't have many roles to his name, and while I love Rambas voice AP isn't a gundam con yet.

It would be really cool to meet this guy, since Quatre has always been a favorite character of mine.

Although it may never happen, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that some con some year gets Chris Patton.

If we're going to more obscure then, I vote for David Mantranga. The things that really made me go YAY when I was digging for VAs last night were his roles as D'Eon de Beaumont in Le Chevalier D'Eon, and Orphen in well... Orphen. And other stuff too (I'm sure the Saiyuki cred would also make some fangirls happy..)

Greg Ayres would be cool to have...but he's not "obscure", imo.

Yeah! I love Quatre's character, and I liked how his voice for the dub too. I like how he voices Raito in Deathnote too. Every once in a while I might watch an episode.

Mmmm, honestly, I don't want Vic Mignona to come. I've heard some things, and after watching some videos of him at conventions, and the things he's said, it hasn't left me too thrilled with him. He's not a bad voice actor, at all, but I dunno...

Speaking of reputations, as much as I want Kirby Morrow to appear, and even though I'm totally the one who suggested him, I should also point out that he was a no-show for Otakon. Now, whether or not something came up, I don't know, but that's also something to look at when choosing guests - reliability. (Of course I'm sure you already know this, and I dunno why I'm going on about it, but eh).

That said...I want to meet Kirby Morrow. He's cute and he's a decent voice actor and he likes Propellerheads.

Actually I would prefer to have guests who say things that not everyone agrees with, and isn't afraid to be unpopular. One of the things I like about Greg Ayers is that he isn't afraid to put his popularity on the line when it comes to standing up against fansubing and what not. Whether or not I agree with the message, I like it when people have balls and don't just whore themselves out to whatever audience they come in contact with.

That being said I probably won't be inviting Vic this year. He is pretty easy to find elsewhere, though I do think he is a good voice actor and a lot of fun at a convention.

As for guest that I've already met that I'd reccomend: Chris Sabat, Laura Bailey, Mike McFarland, Scott McNeil, and Monica Rial.

The only Japanese guest I could ever think of I'd love to meet: Megumi Hayashibara...oh, to dream the impossible dream :lolguy:
