Title: My head
Description: Off with it already!

Okay, I'm really, really, sick of painkillers. And kinda desperate. They just can't be good for me.
The problem? I'm suffering from headaches. Almost every day, though they seem to come suddenly. On one side of my head. They hurt a lot. ;.; (I do get migraines occasionally though, but they aren't consistent) Probably stress, but...
Does anyone have any advice that a) Doesn't invole me stuffing myself with painkillers b)Keeps me from seeing the doctor?
Like tea or something? x.x

Drill a small hole into your temple to releave pressure?

Tea is a horrible idea, as tea = caffeine = something your head *doesn't* need right now, a caffeine boost.
So ~ lay off the caffeine (try fruit juices and flavored water for now), try less calcium and more magnesium, drink more water, and find some time to exercise!
I've also found ginger stuff (like ginger snaps, even) help my headaches a lot too.
If you have persistent headaches for more than two weeks then it is most definitely doctor times.

Drill a small hole? Hey, if it works...
Thanks a lot Codi. What has magnesium?
Yeah, it's been over two weeks, but I don't have time to go to a doctor. And I really doubt there's much they can do.

Despite not wanting to go to a doctor, may I recommend a chiropractor (I know you just said you don't have the time)? In addition to/in case the other advice doesn't work for you. Sometimes problems in the spine cause headaches that can't be alleviated in any other way. Pinched nerves and the like. I know that's where some of my headache problems arise (but like you, I don't have time or money to see a chiropractor regularly).
Codi's advice of chilling out on caffeine (my other headache originator) and drinking tons of water are the best ways to go, though, in general. It works wonders.

Scanners... it's scanners!
People say feverfew is good for headaches... But I agree with getting caffeine out of your system.

But it really puts things in perspective.

Thanks everyone. Easing up on the caffeine is helping a lot, pain wise. Now they're just existing, but are a lot more tolerable.

That's good to hear, Yuffie :3 Glad you're feeling better.

The cause of the headaches has been found. ^^
Called TMJ, slight arthritis in the TMJ joint, and a result of stress. But it's treatable, so I can get relief.
Things are looking up!
