Title: CCG Tournaments for AP '08

The History Follower - October 12, 2007 03:10 PM (GMT)
I'm looking for people to run CCG tournaments during the con, so I need some tournaments organizers and judges. I'm looking for just anime card games, so looks like Magic is out. Even if you aren't a judge yourself if you know one have them or you on their behalf contact me. Demoing a game is also good if you could do that.
To the players out there, what CCGs would you like to see at the con. Tournament, demo, or just open play?

I like demos.

Anime card games..Sailor Moon. Lol. I'd finally be able to use that box I bought. >> Uhm.. Pokemon is almost a must have if there are to be any CCGs. Naruto.. Yugimanz..I think theres a fruits basket CCG...DBZ..I want to say theres a Yu Yu Hakusho card game but I'm not sure.. Monster Rancher.. Digimon.. As for what kind of play..I think all three would be good. Tournaments with prizes(maybe) for more experienced players, open play for newer players.. Demos for "WTF, theres a card game of THAT?!" players..

So yeah..Im for all three!

1. Hey Vincent bring your Sailor Moon cards, it will give me a chance to use the ones I got.

2. There is a Fruits Basket Card Game, but its not a CCG is stand alone. We played it last year at the con and I'll be bringing it again.

3. I'm looking for official judges, at least for the games that are still supported, cause you can get prizes from the companies who put them out.

4. Tournments will be for all, not just experienced players.

5. Open will be allowed, and encouraged, as long as there is space.

6. Demos will be for what ever games people want to demo not just the weird games.

7. A list of anime and video game card games that are out there:

So many card games. If everyone at the con played all of those games we'd drown in a sea of cards. xD

Cornix - November 15, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
Universal Fighting System (Sabertooth Games)
I'm a scout (equivalent to judge) for Sabertooth. If you'd like I can set something up for that particular card game.. though knowing sabertooth they might get a teeny bit carried away and it could end up being a huge regional tournament for no apparent reason. But of course they'd go over that with you guys. ^.^

Looks like it might be Saturday that we'll have some Universal Fighting System related stuff going on

that street fighter, samurai showdown, king of fighters, coul calibur, darkstalkers collectable card game... (pick it up! it rules your face!)

at the very least, demos in the card hall.

We'll be having a Yu-gi-oh Tournament on Saturday at 11am. Now I'm afraid this won't be an official sancuntioned event, things just didn't work out that way for us. But we will be having prizes for those who take part though, well for the winners anyways.
Length will depend a lot on how many turn out. More players, more time.
Description: Advanced Format: http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/yugioh/...urrent_new.aspx

There will also be designated free play for different card games and such to help people find fellow players and new people to find others to help them learn to play.
