Description: I need some.

I've been looking around for some new anime to watch and broaden my horizons. By new I mean new to me, not necessarily newly made.
I want you to tell me your favorite anime/anime you would recommend. I dig a lot of different genres.
Favorites include: Ouran High School Host Club, NGE, Cowboy Bebop, GANTZ, Gintama (new to the series though), Boogiepop Phantom, Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei (new to the series). I think you can see the eccentricity here.
Go.

Well here are a few titles that I enjoyed.
School Rumble-Ditzy girl likes quiet guy. Nice thug type guy likes ditzy girl who likes quiet guy. Great series IMO. I've had a number of laughs due to this series.
Genshiken-A series about a college anime club and it's adventures.
Avatar: The Last Airbender-Yes it's on Nick, and made in the US. But the overall story so far has really impressed me.
Lovely Complex-Tall girl, short guy romantic series.
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi-A good series that deals with one guy who trains to get stronger after being impressed by a girl that he meets. Ends up going home to her dojo, gets 5 different masters and the series grows from there. The fights are not as crazy as say Bleach or Naruto in terms of abilities and most of the fights and abilities that are used, at least till the end, seem normal.
Angel Heart-This series I point out to folks that enjoy or have enjoyed City Hunter in the past. I won't say more than that it's a good series and has all the humor that I've seen in city hunter in the past. Worth a watch.
I'll leave the list here although I could go on and on really with different titles.

I've read some of the Genshiken manga. My friend is ridiculously into it, but I never really caught on.
Avatar, on the other hand, I have seen an episode or two and always intended to watch more. Thanks for reminding me XD
I'll check these out. Thanks for the suggestions :3

I love the Geshiken manga.
I would strongly suggest Princess Tutu. But then, that's what I tell everyone.

Oh Edo Rocket!
Manabi Straight
Murder Princess
Sisters of Wellber
sola
Hayate the Combat Butler
Kanon(of 2006 vintage)
Baccano!
And since the fall season has just started up in Japan so far Blue Drop and Clannad seem pretty good.

Oh and how could I forget to mention Seto no Hanayome. Its hilarious.
Mushi-Uta, The Skull Man, and Bokurano are all a bit darker and all the better for it.
5 Centimeters Per Second from what I've seen is very good.
And I don't think I need to mention Code Geass but I will in case you are not familiar with it as I was rather late in getting into it.
And of course despite a shitty anime original ending Claymore can't be beat. The manga is the best though.
