The newest feature on AnimeCons.com, the Internet's largest database of anime and manga events throughout the world, is a Google-Maps-based worldwide convention map. Currently, it shows the locations of over 100 upcoming cons on four different continents. The map is currently in beta testing, and some of the additional features that are being developed include the ability to view locations of past conventions, and to limit results by specific type of event.Link to AnimeCons.com postThe map in all its gloryI can't wait until this thing is out of beta and has the entire database listed...
Damn, that is awesome. Also more opportunities for me to spend my life savings since there are so many near-ish me.
I also accidentally clicked Anime Boston, which I may or may not attend this year with my school's Anime Club. We go for a grand total of $60, all-inclusive (room, bus, reg).
Further, that's going to really help the popularity of AP when people see it up on something like that.
And I really want to go to the one in Hawaii someday, because really, what can be better than combining a Hawaiian vacation with an anime con?
Thanks for the link rpb
that's really cool. :alco:
