First, whats your favorite anime?
Do you look anything at all like anyone in that anime? Or could you make yoruself look like them?
Also, budget is something you want to consider. If its going to be 100$ to make the costume, and your on a tight budget, then you wanna pick something else. lol
Just be someone who you think you act sort of like (that always helps the cosplay illusion lol), and you like and can afford.
This early in the year time usually isnt a issue, but if you work 18 hour days and only get sunday off or something like that, you might wanna pick something simple.

The mech from Overman King Gainer is sort of human like, and sort of pudgy, you might be able to make a wicked one of them.
