We're between the summer and fall con season. Ahead of us there are a lot of important and awesome fall conventions (Sugoi, Tsubasa, Youma/Reactor, AWA, Matsuri, and probably something else), behind us is the exhaustion that Otakon leaves with us, as well as the lingering aftertaste of Colossal.
It's no secret that a lot of us staffers get a post-con depression/ burnout after Anime Punch. A lot of us are still feeling it.
Today though I'm getting fired up! Between ignoring studying for my exams, reviewing last years records, looking at the program schedule, and the spirited discussion about the OSU anime clubs Fall showing schedule, I'm starting to get the passion back, and with my I BRING THE HEAT!!!
I'm charged up and ready to rock! I want to start kicking ass (the bulk of my job) and start pulling together another great convention! AP 05 was a lot of fun, AP 06 was INSANE and awesome and amazing and holy shit we just did that! Last year at AP 07 I think we threw an awesome event, and a much better ran event, but it wasn't as crazy or cool. This year I'm planning ahead to not think things out as much and just rock the joint as only we can do!!
I can't do this con alone though. It's time to start hitting us with your wildest ideas and fantasies! Lets get some psycho new events, and maybe even shift a few paradigms or climb out of a box or whatever the fuck Taco Bell wants us to do to our snacking habits.
I'll do my part to bust ass, pull in the coolest people, and facilitate awesome, you do your part by giving me the raw materials I need to forge the glorious sword of armageddicon upon the mountain high!
