Title: The Lounge?
Torouh - July 10, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
Uh i cant remember what it was called, but we had a room in the back of the hotel, by the normal rooms. And there were like, paper plates on the walls that had arrows telling us where to go. I think it was called the lounge? or the conferance room or something like that. That place was GREAT!! I met a amazing friend in there, they had some great food, and it had a really relaxed atmosphere, and it was just a nice place to go, insted of going across the street to my hotel room. I remember the big RENT song where everyone sang. XD sorry, I'm remenicing. I just miss the con so much!!! *cries*
ANYWAY, are we going to be having it next year? I really hope so! ^_^

Oh, you're talking about the consuite? ^_^ The consuite is always a cool staple, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not sure what the plans are, but I'm assuming there will be one next year too! (help me on that, Michael?)

What kind of fish eggs? Masago, or the bigger ones? ;p I don't know about you, but I personally think masago are tasty.
Torouh - July 10, 2007 06:46 AM (GMT)

KaiserMikeB - July 10, 2007 07:34 AM (GMT)
Yeah, we'll have it again!
I hope that "The Sushi Guy" comes back. Either way we'll have it even better coordinated than last year as I'm putting one of our best staffers (Blue-haired-Mike) in charge of it! So not only will you have chips and drinks and such, but you'll also have some quality Curry, maybe some fresh Ramen, and who knows what else! At night we'll hopefully be able to offer some of our notoriouc "anime punch" as well again this year!
It should be noted that none of this comes cheap, so donations are very much welcomed!
Torouh - July 10, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
Yay! That place was freaking awsum! I'd be willing to volenteer some time on friday for setup, (if i get there early enough) and on sunday for cleanup as well. I'll be partying all saturday.

I'm always up for making a donation for "anime punch". I missed it for this year's and anime punch + hentai olympics = classic entertainment. lol Oh, speaking of drinks, are you guys going to have themed drinks again for next year at the bar?
Anywho, looks like I might be able to come next year after all. The school plans have been put on hold for now.
KaiserMikeB - July 11, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
Aww, Jupi I'm not sure if I should say that's good or bad!
Yeahy, we'll have more anime punch next year, as well as themed drinks at the bar!
yutika - July 12, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
I would like to do sushi bar again in '08; I had a great time last year. We could do more kinds of sushi this time. Amish sushi, perhaps?

Themed drinks, fuck yeah. I went to Anime Mid-Atlantic last month and was talking about AP to some folks at the hotel bar. Mentioned the themed drinks, particularly the La Blue Girl. Folks I was talking to had to have one, so after telling the bartender what it was, he made a large round of them, and then added it to the hotel system as La Bleu Fille. Win, or fail for divulging secrets?

In my opinion :
Cool for spreading AP love. <3
Not cool for giving out an AP drink :/
As long as the Red Comet stays by my side, I'll get drunk x3 faster.

Wow, you went to Anime Mid-Atlantic? Once again, I missed out on going. It's sad, too, because I live right here in Richmond and the convention center isn't too far from my home and my job. I'd say about 15, 20 minutes from home (if that long), and about 10 if coming from work.
I'll go someday.
That aside, I liked the Sephiroth one. I had about three of those. lol
KaiserMikeB - July 13, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
how did you know what was in it?
tsuka-ate - July 13, 2007 07:59 PM (GMT)
Bartenders do not keep secrets well, or they simplified the recipe. Vodka, tonic, and blue curacao were the contents of the dozen or so I had at AP. I think I have a handle on the ingredients for the rest of them as well. Had it been any more complex there's no way I would have divulged the ingredients and risked summary execution after The Trial. Guess it could be considered a calling card from 2097. The Red Comet is safe with me, with three times the respect.
KaiserMikeB - July 13, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
hmm, I think the la blue girl has two more minor ingredients, but that is close enough!
