Remember Saturday Anime on the Sci-Fi Channel back in the day (late Saturday mornings 1995/1996? to 1 AM-ish showings in 2001)? Well, it's pretty much back but has moved to Mondays. While watching The Mummy on Sci-Fi they had a commercial for their new Monday programming with Ani-Mondays which airs on Monday, at 11 PM to 1 AM!
Apparently, June 11th marked the first installment and they premiered Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society. So I'm expecting we won't see much of Tank Police, Demon City Shinjuku, the 999 movies, Vampire Hunter D, etc. from their original anime showings. Though I'd totally watch!

Thought I'd let you know.
It sort of takes me back to the good old days...

Yeah..those were the days. I watched alot of movies on Sci-Fi then, like Tenchi Muyo, Akira, Green Legend Ran, Tank Police etc.

They also had a morning anime (8am) block called The Animation Station. They aired all 39 or episodes of Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors) and I watched 95% of them, in addition to recording them.

Sci-Fi was ahead of its time.
