Title: My final needles arts project!

Yuffie - May 30, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
My school, instead of one home ec class, has semester classes for each aspect of home ec. I did Needle Arts, is my favorite class. I ended up declared cute by most of the seniors in the class and give up fighting about my cuteness.

Needle arts, pass or fail depending on one project. Well, after much stress I finished my quilt, and it's quite lovely I think.

It's fairytale themed, I had another theme in mind orginally, but when I went fabric shopping something someone said regarding fantasy stuck in my mind(I think something Mike said), so this is what turned out.

It was really long project, and until I sewed together the back I didn't think it would look good at all. Looked great once the border was on though. Getting to the end was the frusterating part, I would think I was done, and then there would be just one more thing to do, or one thing I had to rip out and resew. I accidently bought the wrong thread which really screwed some things up as well! It looks a little weird because of it.

Size-it is not very big at all. If you know how small I am, then you can tell.

Man, I never got to make anything as cool as a quilt in Home Ec. All I made was a stupid apron and a little drawstring bag.

That's really awesome, though! I love the front, it's really pretty. ^_^

Thank you.

Over one semester we did emboridery, knitting, wonder waller(why I have that ugly wallet. xD), pillowcase, and then the quilt.

Its sooo cool!

We don't do anything that long in any of my classes.

:]

Miccy: That long?

Thanks everyone. As long as you know basic sewing, you can do it. It just takes a while.

I'm still trying to figure how to do a pokemon quilt out of the fabric I have.

Hey, yeah, how long did that take you to make?

Yuffie - June 8, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
2 1/2-3 months, 40 minutes straight for five days a week, and a lot of time put in on weekends.

Not counting being absent though. :P
