Title: Con Suite
Description: Con Suite and Sushi Bar
thutt312 - April 5, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
I think the con suite and sushi bar did great :choco:
Kuroshi - April 5, 2007 02:19 AM (GMT)
The con suite was the most awesome fucking consuite I have ever seen. Food and drink everywhere, sammitches, roomy place to hang out (until 10 people show up), sushi, curry, more sushi.... Amazing place. Kinda hidden, but amazing nonetheless.
Lilith's Dark Shadow - April 5, 2007 01:16 PM (GMT)
there were signs that pointed to it...
smokie - April 5, 2007 01:19 PM (GMT)
There were paper plates that pointed to it if memory serves. lol Yeah it was pretty awesome. Well anyplace I can get some free Cheetos is awesome in my book.
Pnut - April 5, 2007 02:45 PM (GMT)
It was great! There was an amazing amount of food, and the sushi was delish...
crippledmessiah - April 5, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
i carried a ton of soda there, never did just go to hang out tho...
SweetMisery - April 6, 2007 01:20 AM (GMT)
yesh, attempting to crash in there sunday morning was fun, despite the couple people walking in and the one guy sleeping on the couch ....
i think i was kicked out too ... haha
Drakitha - April 8, 2007 03:36 PM (GMT)
Good times in the Con Suite, Friday night. X3 If only I could have taken part. Instead I was attempting to sleep in the corner.
SweetMisery - April 10, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
I had actually forgotten all about it until about ... some time Sunday morning lol but it's all good, I reckon :)
plasteredgaara - April 28, 2007 05:01 AM (GMT)
the consuite was awesome especialy the drinking and the party where the drinking happened
dizzy-ingrid - July 26, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
the con suite made some of my friends lazy, i was nice but it inhibited random acts of stupidness. praise whole.
Torouh - August 8, 2007 05:06 AM (GMT)
The con suite was amazing. ^_^ I loved it. Except the frog/fish egg things. *shudder* My friend force fed me. The paper plates were pretty cool too.
Lothlin - August 8, 2007 09:06 AM (GMT)
Masago? Masago is tasty, what are you talking about! XD
Torouh - August 9, 2007 02:24 PM (GMT)
Its just... its eggs! They frighten me... and have a really weird texture too!
sesshouga - August 9, 2007 05:21 PM (GMT)
Torouh, do you eat chicken eggs?
I don't think it should be any different ^_^
I'd never had the chance to try any of the masago.
I'll probably try it at AP '08 because I love to try different things.
Lothlin - August 9, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
Masago is good. The bigger eggs that you can get as a meal within themselves at sushi bars... I wouldn't suggest. They taste basically like salt water without much texture, meh.
KaiserMikeB - August 9, 2007 10:30 PM (GMT)
I absolutely love those though! They are like delicious pearls from the sea!

Uh Mike don't pearls already come from the sea? Also I pretty sure pearls are not edible.
KaiserMikeB - August 10, 2007 01:03 AM (GMT)
um...
Well played, Smokie, well played.
Lothlin - August 10, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
Meh, I'd eat them again if I get a sushi platter or something, but they're not my favorite.
LLMorphine - September 10, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
next time we need the curry to be more constant cuz it ran out fast. I hope we can get a con suite that actually has a kitchen like AP '06 did instead of storing some of the stuff in the bathroom XD and maybe see if our sushi bar can have some rice balls as well since they're bigger than the sushi and I'm pretty sure don't take as long to make.
KaiserMikeB - September 10, 2007 09:02 PM (GMT)
There shall be more curry! The curry guy is now managing the con suite!
Rice balls are a good idea as well.
Vincent - September 10, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
I was unaware of the sushi. Sushi has the power to make me do whatever I am told to. I am sad. T_T
Centaura - September 10, 2007 10:31 PM (GMT)
I am going to LIVE in the con suite this year...
LLMorphine - September 11, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
also, since people seem to have trouble finding the con suite, or even knowing that we have one in the first place, perhaps we could make something like one of those mall directories. We could just get a general map of the hotel and blow it up, then put it right at the front and mark the important areas different colors (this could be done after printing with highlighters). eg: registration, con ops, con suite, bathrooms; just the ones that you see people asking for most of the time, especially if they've never been to the hotel before.
KaiserMikeB - September 12, 2007 07:34 AM (GMT)
we did that, and put it in the program guide that everyone should have had. Bitches don't read yo

I'll jump on the curry train.
Curry's so yum.
SO YUM! Nom, nom, nom... When I was being a Japanese cinema dork and dragged everyone to Tampopo in Philadelphia, that's where I had my first Japanese curry. Memoriesss.
Centaura - September 12, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
It was down the same hall as my room last year, so I didn't need any directions...hah!

This curry is more Thai curry though, less Japanese style. Not as runny, a bit more spicey, slighty different ingredients but ALL TASTY!!

I'd likez me some curry too. Mmm.
All goods.
sesshouga - September 13, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
I love apple curry <3
And for the record, I now know how to make authentic Japanese sushi from scratch :D
This is not Biggs - September 13, 2007 10:13 AM (GMT)
This topic makes me hunger so much. I've been losing 1-2 pounds a day for a whole week because of the lack of food lately.
Apple curry sounds delicious.
I'm cool with any curry-- my friend Stephen makes Indian-style curry a lot. His is actually the best I've ever had. And I live a block away from Bangkok House, though I eat their bean sprout dish more than I do the any of their curry entrees.
Ugh, so hungry. I want a curry trough right now, to be honest...
Centaura - September 13, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
You've all made me hungry for curry, and all I've got is couscous.

psst, Rachel, it was Apple Honey curry. But it was still delicious.
I'm not fond of Thai curry--too spicy for me :[
And I think I shall go downstairs and make myself some sushi. The talk of it is killing me.
SSJ Jup81 - September 14, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
There was curry in the Con Suite at the last one? I totally missed that. I've never even had Japanese-style curry before, to be honest. I've made a chicken curry one time, but it turned out too spicy for my family. Anywho, I hope you guys decide to do so again.
Oh, and the idea of having onigiri for next year's AP would be really cool. That's something else I've never had before, but have always wanted to try.
