Hello everyone, I'm sure most of you know what occured during closing
ceremonies. Animate! OSU is an official student organization which
follows the student code of conduct.
As we as a club have been associated with the convention through
personnel staffing, attendees, and our advertisement in the program
guide it's important to understand that any official organization,
it's members, and anything associated with its name are all required
to follow the student code of conduct.
We understand the event in which a girl in a pokemon fursuit was
threatened as a misunderstanding in a joke of poor taste, as far as
the staff involved goes.
Complications including the threat of danger the girl in the fursuit
experienced because of not being aware of what was going on, while all
other participants didn't realize this, makes this issue trickier. We
are very sorry this happened to her.
However, bottom line is this. Threatening a person, possessing what
could be considered a weapon, and descrimination in any form are all
things forbidden for good reason by the Student Code of Conduct.
As of yet, our priority is on apologizing and sorting out what
reperations need to be made.
The AP conchair has plans to make his own official apology, and as far
as I know is only waiting until he can personally contact the young
lady involved.
Animate!OSU apologizes to everyone involved in this misunderstanding.
Thank you.

Animate!OSU Coordinator
Thanks, kindly.
I'll be emailing you a copy of my response tonight.
Were you in the band called Kattywhompus? I call my sister, Natalie, Nattywhompus and her boyfriend, Pat, Pattywhompus. Why was this blown so out of proportion? I saw it, and it wasn't threatening, it was just funny.
Nevermind I didn't say that. I'd like to bury this issue. Goodbye.
