Title: Furry
Description: Adding a new dimension to Anime Punch

Greetings :nyan:
I'm a furry as well as otaku. A friend had attended your convention a few days ago and greatly enjoyed himself. He's convinced myself and several friends of how badass a con you guys throw, so we're all rallying to go next year!
In fact, we're getting word out to most of the furry circles here in the Michigan/Ohio area. With Midwest Furfest happening so late in the year, a good spring convention is needed to break up the mundanity of midwestern life. :hippy: We might even busload in.
See you there!! :domo:

That's actually pretty reassuring to hear amidst all that's going on.
Of course, I say that with absolutely no authority at all. :P

Thank goodness. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Of course according to that post from wiki they are planning on raiding the con and all. But I suppose being suspicious of their intentions would just cause more problems.

They say paranoia is little more than the fool's safety net. :P
I would certainly hope people can let bygones be bygones.

Y'know, I'm not into anime but I love anime conventions almost as much as I love furry conventions. This sounds like an interesting event, I'll have to spread the word to the rest of my fuzzly homies so we can have multiple carpools convoy up there together.

Glad to hear you guys liked it! Are you going to be fursuiting or just attending? (Though it may be too soon to know I guess!)

Read the same thing, the message board post..
But, I guess it's too soon to know for sure... I don't have an issue of trying to make friends, though.. ^^;;

It's the stuff I DON'T schedule that is the coolest, I think a fur party/raid could be both awesome and hilarious!

Anime cons always seem to end up mini-furcons anyway. May as well give them their own panel and show or something. And a blitzball team.

Do furry cons even exist? I've never heard of them till recently...
Lothlin - April 4, 2007 06:22 PM (GMT)
Yup. Hell, I was talking with my friends here yesterday about ways to get him to Anthrocon without his parents knowing XD

of course they exist. they are smaller than anime cons but that can be a plus. the largest furry con is AC (anthrocon) which is held every summer. the attendance last year was about 2500. There are atleast 10-15 more furry cons in North America.

Incidentally, we were originally at that hotel until they started getting weird about cosplayers. We brought up that they had a furry con (we do our research!) and they stopped hedging on cosplay. We ended up leaving them anyhow, though.
