Title: R Girl Utena ending?

I've been plauged with the frusteration of trying to find more of the Revolanary(can't spell) Girl Utena Dvds after the collection 'mysteriously' stopped at my library. Then I find out that the whole thing wasn't even released in America cause of my age not apporiate stuff. I suppose if I was a good fan I would try to track down episodes on the internet, but my computer is very download-unfriendly, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what happened, or a least if the movie is a subsitute to the ending? Thanks.

from what I understand they have all been released in the US. It's just finding them that is the challange!

Yeah, I believe they were all released. I think the last one was released last September, or somewhere around that time.
I haven't seen the whole series, but I've seen most.
I'm going to cosplay as Utena :D

The TV series is 39 episodes long, and all of them have been licensed and released in the US. The ending is...um...hard to explain? You just have to see it ^_^;
The movie isn't a substitute ending; it's a re-telling of the TV series (same basic characters, different plot). If you want to watch the movie, it helps to have seen the entire TV series.

go to sundevildvd.com there they have all 39 episodes that you can order for a pretty good price, and it has it dubbed and subbed =) It's where I got mine!
I oh so badly want to throw together (neatly throw together XD) an Anthy costume, but I still don't know if I have the full okay to go!
I bought the movie from a dealer at Ohayocon.... and the movie is... erm, strange. XD

I own and have seen the full Utena series, minus the movie, and understand that a bit might've been lost in the licensed translation. So I can't be sure, but there might actually be merit in tracking down the fansubs despite the obvious speed, memory and quality issues.
If you REALLY want to know what you're missing (as I had to for some eps), look for the scripts that came out before the official releases.
And the ending of Utena IS odd but so is the series. I don't think the ending is too predictable but I'm a spoiler readin' guy myself.
