anyone know how to lock your photbucket so only people you want to can be browseing it?

No, I've never had to do it before. Have you tried looking in the help section of the website, or did you just come running to the forums?

went to freinds first, that use photobucket. i'm not very good with net stuff. unless it's pretty staright forward with what to do. and i just searched the site agian and can't fidn anything

1.) Log in.
2.) Look to the top right of your screen.
3.) In between your username and "logout" there's "account options." Click the link.
4.) Scroll down to the "Account Settings" section of the loaded page.
5.) Click "edit my album settings."
6.) There's a dropdown menu next to "My album is," click the drop down arrow and select "private."
7.) Optional: If you'd like to password protect the album and just let a few people see your images hosted on photobucket you can set the password under "Friend's password" type whatever you wish.
8.) Look for the save button, and click.

You're finished.

no pics anymore. and it was just the pics i posted here, they were reposted on 4chan by someone else.

and i don't think u can hack my photobucket. and now it doesn't matter anyway. so :P

Actually, hacking Photobucket is pretty easy. I have a friend who spent a whole day hacking buckets of people he knew from High School so he could see pics of them naked.

well thank u very much for telling me that. but still i have nothing to worry about the pictures i didn't like have been deleted sinc emy freind has them. and i just had them on there to save later when my computer came back. they were pics we needed to draw pictures from of other characters. and they were bad pictures really i just don't want them to be in the hands of anyone i don't trust.

If you don't want people to see photos, period, use a different file hosting service. Email them to yourself (Gmail works wonders with that, since you get so much space,) Or put them on sendspace and save the links, or something like that. There's much better ways to do things than Photobucket.

and lothlin i really didn't expect anyone to feel a want or need to search through my photobucket. people who i did give the link to specficly to look through pics and things were eplictedly asked not to pass the link and things like that. and every time they complied so i didn't feel a need to worry.

But... google makes it easy to find things, and if you link pictures from your photobucket, anybody can then find it. And you have linked pics from your photobucket before.

A good rule of thumb is to watch what you say and do on the web, because if you do something to attract negative attention, it will just snowball. Especially if you make a big deal out of things ^^;.

you can actually see photobucket pictures with google searches? i have never had that happen to me before. but also know of my pictures have names really that would come with much. they are usually pretty random file names.

and yeah i link things but really i never figured anyone would be that bored or motivated to go and dig through it. i thought people had more of a life than that.

Yeah, google image search is really annoying. People from all corners of the earth (usually Canadians, though), through google image search wander into my blog.
