Though without the cure for everything else smoking brings...
One time I was leaving a doctor's office, this little four year old was trying to sneak a lit cigerrete past her mother. It was kinda creepy.

You better hope Chuck didn't see that man. Also if case you were unaware Chuck Norris's tears can cure cancer, too bad he has never cried.

Of all the tired and lame internet jokes that may have been funny at one point, you had to pick that? You get an E+, but only because you somehow managed to take yourself seriously.
And I still think it's kind of odd that an article published the 27th hasn't seen more coverage from, like, fucking everyone.
Vincent - February 15, 2007 08:36 AM (GMT)
Really.. You'd think something as big as curing CANCER would make it on the news well before this long after it was posted. But everybody is too obcessed with murders and wars to care about cancer I guess.
crknight29 - February 15, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
great article that you found. I'm going to pass it off to a bunch of folks and send it to the news if they don't already know about it. I think this is something that should be known to everyone.

Because there isn't enough coverage on Anna Nicole Smith, you guys...
Anna Nicole > Cure for cancer.
P.S. The Chuck Norris stuff was never funny, ever.
crknight29 - February 16, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
i could care less about Anna Nicole. Sorry she died, but I lost my grandparents to cancer.
crknight29 - February 16, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
i heard tonight on the news that the US government has decide to cut funding to cancer treatments.
Kaisermikeb - February 16, 2007 06:42 AM (GMT)
The story won't get any big press until it gets tested on humans. It will likely be another six months at the earliest before there will be any results, and then another year or two before the FDA will consider it for approval. With at least 5 years before it will hit shelves, it's no wonder that the media hasn't paid much mind to a drug that hasn't even cured anyone yet.
As for US research grants, no worries there, it's being tested in Canada! Also, since it's a university thing, and they aren't accepting corperate funding, there is little worry of a single drug company taking the patent and hiking the price up.

Well, that Anna Nicole bit was a joke... :\
If this stuff actually works, I'd say oncologists-in-training are kind of fucked.
Wyatt - February 18, 2007 10:21 AM (GMT)
Well it doesn't kill every cancer, apparently.
I only realized yesterday that ANS dying wasn't a joke...
I laughed harder when I found out it was true.
