I know this sounds ubber lame but I hope one of the rooms plays dubbed... I'm not a huge fan of subbed I can never keep up and lose half the plot I hope they play some subbed....

SUBBED!! Subs rule all!

Kaisermikeb - July 7, 2005 04:33 AM (GMT)
odds are we'll play what we think is best. After all, good dubs need to be rewarded with air-time. Bad dubs must be punished with neglect!!

LEt's have dubs for all the newer things. It's too hard to follow the plot with subs, and if the subs are bad then it realloy takes away from the anime. PLus, big yellow letters at the bottom of the screen are just plain ugly. Older stuff, though, is sometimes better left subbed.

Subs ussaly go too fast for me so it kills the plot or somone is on frount of me block 40% of all text so i'm left guessing

Personally, I usually have no trouble with reading subs, though there are some anime where I really adore the dub. (Cowboy Bebop as an example)

A lot of conventions I've been to either have a sub room and a dub room or, if there are any VA's in attendance, play the dubs of the anime they've done work in.

I really don't have much of preference, so i'll go along with whatever you guys decide. ^^

My favorite dub job is probably Evangelion. Or maybe Nuku Nuku TV. Oh yes, can we please show some Nuku Nuku?

Meh there've only been a few dubs I've enjoyed. Bebop, Riding Bean, Champloo (is iffy). As for that...I'd rather watch a sub.

Kaisermikeb - July 18, 2005 08:19 PM (GMT)
oh, I hate the Champloo dub. Mugen is way too annoying to be voiced like Spike!

I prefer subbed, because I'm trying to learn Japanese and it helps...but somethings are more fun dubbed, like Saiyuki. (Greg Ayres Rocks^^)

I cannot read that fast sometimes when I am doing subbed so I prefer the dubbed unless the voice acting is totally totally horrible.
