Next year I'm going to Laurel Oaks, but all my friends refuse to go, because they heard stories about the teachers being rapists or some crap like that. Anyway, I'll basically be abandoning everyone I know, I won't see them again junior or senior year. Should I feel bad about this?

Not really. If they're more than just High School acquaintances, you'll see them anyway.

Not many high school friendships last after moving to another school or graduating. All you can do is make new ones or try to stay in touch with your old friends.

Vincent as much as I hate to mention the Godforsaken thing you can use Myspace to keep it touch with your friends if you don't already. Its what I use to keep in touch with my fellow 07 alumni and other assorted assholes I went to school with. So just go where you want and do what you want. I'll offer this advice I got from a Motley Crue song "If you wanna live long on your own terms you gotta be ready to crash and burn."

Me too. But my youth group uses it, and I've found it has almost efficent system for communication.

Getting e-mail everytime someone moves is pain though.

I'd say it's not something to feel bad about, but's it not something that'll be easy either.

What do a bunch of guys care if the teachers are rapists? Are they just upset because it means all they just have less of a shot at the virgins? I'm going to organize my thoughts on rape and come back with a very long essay for this thread.

Well, for one not all my friends are guys. The guys just don't feel like going. The girls are scared of rapist teachers and heard that all the people there are sluts and anyone who goes there becomes a slut. xD

Aww dont feel bad. You can always keep in touch with people no matter how far away you are. My best friends are from my old school in cinciny. I was mia for about a year but thanks to ohayocon we meet up again and we call each other and hangout still.
You can always keep in touch by text,email,phone,cons if they like them, holiday, visiting and so on.
There are many people that keep in touch with their high school friends, child hood friends college friends all the way up to ther bac years in college. It just depends if their the kind people that want to keep you and you keep them as a friend. So if anyone tells you that that never happens they are lying to you because their friends ran away from them.
