I'm a Catholic myself. Considering it will be a holy day of obligation, I'm thinking very strongly of having some sort of service be held in main programming. I'm not sure if I can find a Priest who is into anime, but some form of preacher shall be acquired.

The would be nice... Well, I'd still have to duke it out with my father, 'cause he's all, I dunno, crazy about Anglicanism and that I have to help our church out, and blah blah blah...

Go Friday and Saturday but skip Sunday.

I'm sure that there will be Eva and Bleach stuff at the con. Thats um kinda sorta a little religious.....I think. Ok idea somebody makes an AMV using a Christian rock song and all the religious/praying scenes from anime they can find.

If that does not work just tell yourself "I am a servant of the lord. He wants me to be happy. I am an otaku by a divine plan. Otaku are happy at cons. God wants me to go to the con."

If I don't go to Hell for that I don't know what will get me there. Meh I'll find a way around St. Peter when I make it to the gate.

Talk to your parents, obviously the chior thing is a big deal and a bit of an issue. Worst comes to worst, bail out around 2 am, drive all night, roll into town around 7, grab a quick nap and sing your heart out! Hopefully though they'll let you loose for a bit. I know both a Catholic and an Episcipal church near the con, so you can guarentee them you'll make it to mass/services.

Don't go with your parents to sing at church. Bring your parents with the church to sing at Anime Punch. It helps to use the Anime Punch-centric model of the universe.
