I don't know what to cosplay as. Here's a picture of me. Please help me find something that could work.

...How much of the bleach manga have you read? You could probably pull of Hirako Shinji, one of the Vizard (the word alone isn't spoileriffic if you don't know what it is, but I wouldn't read too much on that page if you care.)

You've got the hair for him, and since his clothes are pretty normal, you could probably find stuff at goodwill.

Yeah, just a tie and a jacket. I already have a prop sword. I'll try that, but he's skinny and I'm not.

*snorts* Anime characters are either crazy skinny, ridiculously muscular, or so round they look like balloons. I don't think anyone is going to fault you if you aren't skin or bones, you could do it XD

AUGH. YES. Those are the worst. Don't get me wrong, I don't have ANYTHING against overweight folks or overweight folks cosplaying characters that aren't skinny, but people really should dress appropriately for their size no matter where they are, and this includes cons. Seriously. Shit, I'm not fat and I still felt a little weird in my Rikku costume, just because I was showing so much skin.

Are we talking about a dictionary definition of fat or a public opinion definition? I dunno, I tend to think of it as obese more than anything else, I've been around far too many athletic folks to think that people who are stocky or not bone thin are fat. And curves don't equal fat either, that equals... well, a normal human figure.

There is a difference between a healthy weight and well... fat. Most normal folks carry a bit of fat on them, and that's healthy, it's just when it goes too far that it becomes bad. And clothing can exacerbate things; a person can look AMAZING in a well-fitted outfit, but the moment they throw on a t-shirt that's two sizes too small and a pair of pants that they can barely button and FORCES crazy bulges on them, it looks.. bad.

Maybe I just watch too many shows on fasion when I get bored x.x

and to sniper, Hirako will work just fine as long as you can get some clothes that match his and his hat. The mask would be a nice addition if you can make it but shouldn't be nessecery.

Yes! Definately! The mask would make him IMMEDIATElY recognizeable. If you want, I'll crop some good pictures of it out of the scans.

I don't know why, but I know I'm a bit, well, large, but I mean, I guess I wouldn't call myself entirely fat, but when I do eventually call someone 'fat' they're usually massively obese.

Sometimes, people DO violate decency, and while I can look away, I still have to wonder why they would wear something like that. Shit, I don't want to see horridly skinny folks wearing horrendously skimpy stuff either, most of the time. Too much is too much.

Anyway, I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either. I'm also short, only 5'6". I'll probably just go as a shinigami, and not as anyone specific. I found some good costumes on Ebay. If all else fails, then I'll go as him. And don't worry. I'm not gonna cosplay as Sailor Moon.
