recently samas and i viewed a monkey stage play by Grin And Tonic in brisbane, Australia called Monkey And His Magical Journey To The West. it was really well done. Pigsy was casted especially well. the story follows the journy to the west and has some things that dont completely follow the story line of the episodes but it was still very good.

yes, in my opinion, it was a compliment to the original TV show; it had excellently cast characters (especially pigsy), it had new hi-tec cloud flying action and an awesome soundtrack and DANCING (similar to that in 'The catfish, Saint and the Shape-Changer' episode!) It also had neurmerous episode links which any monkey fan would enjoy spotting.

it made me laugh, it made me cry, it made love monkey even more! overall a beautifull production! well done!

but seriously anybody who didnt see it in queensland should hurt themselves in some way! :ph43r:

unless you live in Toowamba- out in the middle of no-where, (72 km south of woop-woop), where you probabily couldnt be bothered driving out to civilisation (Brisbane) just how we couldnt be bothered driving to Toowamba for volleyball games...

i saw the play in campbelltown , nsw .it was great .monkey looked good with a bull ring through his nose

it was pretty awesome aye fletch. unfortunatly our monkey didnt have a nose ring :( oh well. just wonder what was the story of it all? ours pretty much summed up all of the episodes.

yes, the brisbane play had bits and pieces from various monkey episodes, which made it really entertaining.

they focused on three different eps mainly didnt they? twas the first, the emperor and the jade box (i think thats the name of the episode.) and the last one. so it was good

and there weren't any main ones focused on, they're just were bits and pieces from various episodes inserted into the play to enrich the experience for true monkey fans.
