I have heard many debates about who is the best character, but what are your opinions?
Monkey is my favourite character, because he's the funniest, with his magic cloud (laser gun dog fights!) and his wishing staff, and his achachacha!

I'd have to say Pigsy, because he is cool... Other then that, maybe the hot vampire queen in that episode where the sun and moon are fighting ;)

Sandy, because he's an intellectual who almost gets every fact he says that he's sure of wrong!

I like Pigsy. He's the best actor, and the guy that does his voice is brilliant.

I liked series 2 pigsy best, but that's because I mostly watch the episodes with the second pigsy.

I'd have to say Monkey and Pigsy are my equal favourites, they make a great team!

But what would they do without Sandy? Fight and get women!

has to be monkey my favourite.lol. i prefer first pigsy than the 2nd pigsy though! (maybe because i watched right from beginning of series.) ching ching! :D

can't pick a fav, have thought about it before, but it is the nature of the story, that all the characters are important........

perhaps, Bhudda is the best character!

He (well, she) does have a greater influence on the story than the rest of them.

I'd have to disagree with thet. I personally liked the first season of monkey more than the second, and i found the second pigsy, after getting so used to the first one, hard to like.

i also enjoyed, even though a little off topic, the original title sequence better than that in season 2.

so ill have to say my favourite character is season one pigsy

you may as well take tripi out of the pole he or she is the most anoying character!!

I watched a few episodes of that series. It wasn't bad.

the monkey in the middle is from the Journey to the west cartoon

That particular picture is not that good looking, I agree totally, but I've seen the series and its version of Monkey is one supercool ass-kicking dude MWAHAHAHA~ XDD Really, he starts off looking like a baby in the first episodes but when you get to the point when the journey starts whoah man did they change animators or what I tell you he becomes almost bishonen-like! I love his long hair and the way it flings about when he fights off the demon baddies! And there was a part in the ending credits when he gets hit by the band-tightening curse and oh my god the part when he hits the ground it was like oh my god so deliciously angsty and........

But go Monkey. I'm glad he's still winning. Maybe I should have put an 'other' option, for people who like the demons? How would that be for a thread- your favourite bad guy!

Well it depends on which series.

The Japanese Monkey- Well I like Tripitaka because he (i'll refer the character as a he) is so much like a monk and he has shown all his students to do no violence. So peaceful

The Hong Kong version- I didn't really watch it but I liked Tripitaka again...

The 1996 TVB Version- I really liked Hong Hai Er as a sub character because she was potrayed as a very cheeky girl who was then allies with the dream demon at the end she learns her lesson and becomes Guan Yin's student

The 1998 Sequel- I liked the horse... just kidding.... I really liked Monkey in this because he was more serious and more human. I just loved Benny's drag act hahaha.

The 2003 TVB Taiwan version- I liked Na Cha it shows most of the story and he looks more better than the Monkey! oooh and i also like Sha Wujing (Sandy) because he was less stupid that the 1996 and 1998 version and he was like a guy in inventions like high tech ones.

OVERALL TRIPITAKA!!!
