Title: Want To Play Pal On Ntsc Tv's
Description: Playing different formatted DVDs

Hi all,
If you live in the USA and want to view DVDs purchased from either the UK or Australia, or infact just about anywhere in the world, you dont need to spend lots of money to get your DVDs converted to the US standard NTSC. (For different regional formats :
http://www.regionfreedvdplayers.com/codefreedvd/tip2.html)There are DVD players on the market that can do the conversion. They are often termed Region free DVD palyers. Some are really expensive, some not so expensive and some are cheap, the cheap ones are often sold as regular DVD players but are capable of playing all formats if you know a quick hack.
If you want any more info, post a message.

If you own a playstation two. You can buy a region free disc for it. After you insert the disc onto your PS2, you can select whichever region yuo wish to watch. Then Monkey magc will travel across the world.!

stick to PAL if you want to preserve the colour and Audio quality of your dvds and videos
NTSC is a format that is not as superior as PAL in terms of colour pixel ratio
Lines/Field 525/60
Horizontal Frequency 15.734 kHz
Vertical Frequency 60 Hz
Colour Subcarrier Frequency 3.579545 MHz
Video Bandwidth 4.2 MHz
Sound Carrier 4.5 MHz
for NTSC: the important area to look at is Colour subcarrier
and then the sound carrier.
Line/Field 625/50 625/50 525/60
Horizontal Freq. 15.750 kHz
Vertical Freq. 60 Hz
Color Sub Carrier 4.433618 MHz
Video Bandwidth 5.0 MHz
Sound Carrier 5.5 MHz
for PAL format
hope that helps out ...... something i studied in Visual/graphic Arts

Yes you did. In any case, you are my nemesis... One day, our paths will cross again, and I - I will *destroy* you...
Anyway, back to the topic: I'd like to see that play. It'll probably be ages until it comes to england. |
