Saiyuuki DVD had never been released in Japan.
We ware waiting for long time but it will come finally!
DVD BOX includes special talk chapter who joins Sakai, Kishibe, Nishida at reproduced Bashou cave (in story 24th) set.
This DVD is region 2 NTSC, so UK fan can't enjoy it.

Do you know if the Japan DVD release has english subtitles? I translated the link but it didn't say there.

When you get the set, please let us know if the comments about sound/image quality are correct and if you think the same issues are present in the english release.

Sorry late reply, it's just delivered now.
There is no English subtitles option.
I don't find serious issue about sound/video quality yet.
I have never seen English version but because English version was salvaged and released earlier, it may be in better condition, I think.
