It was a little hard to explain it but in dk1 the imps got hp by smoking (if the didn't have any work to do)
In dk2 they got hp by standing on their own territory

Did imps regenerate hp in DK1? I didnt know that :D
Most of my imps usually degenerate in life:
They are busy 100% of the time, get slapped every now and then, and if they're unlucky they catch an arrow from an archer.

Imp's health doesn't regenerate when idle in DK1.

& They certainly didn't smoke.

they did i've seen it with my own eyes in dk gold they did when they stand still sometimes they rested on thier... i dunno what its called in english and then they smoked something that was white

its like, when there not working and being laizy all over your dungeon they heal... the smoking is just a useless feature :P

Imps do smoke when idle.
But its just an animation.
What the poll really means, is that imps regenerate while doing nothing.

But Ive never noticed, or even rode it somewhere that imps regenerate.

Yup they do indeed regenerate health when there idel, they prop themselves up on there tool and have a smoke, if there not at 100% HP they will recover it quite quickly :D

Yes, idle imps regenerate themselves only once they smoke. So, if you don't have a heal spell to heal them quickly, you can drop them in a locked area, so that they become idle, and wait for the them to be fully healthy.

It doesn't require the imp to be on our territory.

Try the "Imps" level in Post-AK campaign which used an exploit about this.

The Imps level in Post-AK was interesting. In any case, once you claimed the workship, you could set a skeleton to make a door at your heart entrance, lock it, and watch your workers become fearless.

In any case, he's not 'smoking',. He's sleeping! That's a snot bubble and he's leaning on his pick to relax and restore health. I can almost be certain they're not smoking.

i think that smoking is a lot funnier than sleeping.

Yes, I think they always start smoking turned back to the camera; you must rotate the view to see what's going on.

I just checked this ingame - I can't believe I'd never noticed they were smoking before. I didn't even know imps regenerated; now to usher in a new reign of...imp-slapping.
