well, i figured i'd make a topic for this since i've been messing around with the snowman level and i managed to use the igloo as a ramp and launch up to get some of the animals on the ice.

you can't get everything up there, on the part with chalkbaord(i think) is where you can't every everything, there's a few ski's left and the chalkboard.

There's a bed up there, a bunch of can's of paint and paint brushes, some red panda's.

I don't think it's possible to reach everything up there, there is an invisible wall, but you can get up there. Now to use it to an advantage...lol

Actually I think you were mean't to get up there. That is why there was no royal warp... :lol

It's possible, but you can't get up there while small so yo can't seem to get every item that's up there...

I'm starting to think my score is a typo even though I had it written down on a piece of paper....

I had over 2000 items in the katamari and only got up to 10m10cm4mm...

well, i changed my score since I think it's wrong, my new score that's up is the one I currently have on my memory card so who knows where that other score came from, i had it written down on a list of snow scores...weird....

I had over 4000 and I got up to 10m11cmXXmm I might post it for a highscore after I get some more times to submit.

I'm thinking that might end up being near the max, it doesn't seem to matter how many items you get, it's stops counting at around 10m11cm and change.

I wish everyone on the forum could take turns rolling a snowman, eventually getting 100000! lol...

i wish you could get bigger in that level, like pick up the trees and such, totally wipe it clean.

I had actually rolled onto the plateau from the other direction, by coming at if from the mountain to the left. I rolled up the mountain until I reached the "invisible wall" that kept me from climbing farther, at which point I slowly started creeping sideways until I slid onto the plateau.

Collecting the items on the plateau didn't increase my size, as mentioned above, but it was a nice feeling, knowing that I had managed. *grins*

I used the skis to offset my katamari and then rolled up to the right of the tusk, thus using the ski to dog-leg myself up... sounds wierd, and I first ended up doing it by accident, but went back to do it again...

Well, I finally tried for a large snowball and came up with 10m16cm9mm... It seems not right somehow, but that's what it says. I'd be happy to provide photo or even game file (Max drive, or I can convert to SharkPort). The only thing I can think is the fact that I didn't pick up the nose or the mammoth until very last...?

Hmm, maybe that would work, if you get the mammoth last, the size of the Katamari might be bigger?

Hmm, somebody is going to test this I suppose?

can you get the star off the top of the tree?

Thanks...I was playing again today and i got the same score by accident...I think it may be the cap, but I'm not positive yet...and oddly enough, I believe that was under or just over 1000 items in the katamari.

Now I am going to have to try that. :thumbsup

Err, im a newbie at these forums, can you tell me how exactly did you get that big? do you have to roll those respawning cones forever or something to get to the trees? i dont seem to be growing at all after ive got almost every of the items once.

That's a really good question. I have never been able to do it.

Once you pick up the mammoth, you are always over 10m, just about big enough to pick up the trees. But then it seems like you can't get bigger no matter how much you pick up. One of the people here once got his item count up to about 4,000 (!) but was still 10m11cm or so.

I'm not sure how Vix has gotten big enough to pick up trees, and I'm not sure Vix knows :lol . I have a feeling it may have been a glitch; maybe you're never meant to pick up the trees, but I don't know.

I think vix said that you had to pick the mamoth up last. Also getting the guys on the ice cliffs?

basically, i just roll and roll and roll and avoid the mammoth at all costs...keep rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling...and when i then eventually i'll snag the mammoth and then pick up the trees and more green cones...it's a matter of playing around with it, you gotta pick up the mammoth at the right time...but i'm not exactly certain when that is, i should give it another go.

i had just rolled the head, and i got 10 10 3 by accident, i touched the body accidentally. i'm not sure if it counts beacuse i didn't quite get big enough to pick up the things that were described, but since my head was 10m and my body was at least 1m bigger, i'm pretty sure it is proper. other things it says in my video i took of the screen:

Snowman Planet (from before)
Head 10m10cm3mm
Body 2m50cm0mm

this is also very odd, because according to the game i the score i just rolled is the score from before, and how is this possible for the body to be 2m50cm0mm? this is just too odd, i broke 2 records and didn't really even know i did! i'll play it again and try to get bigger than see my score.

:dead DUH! i figured it out. it was merely the default body size for the time that i played. i didn't get 12m, but i did get 10 10 3 on my new record. and i think about the sizes being the same is a coincidence, i'm pretty sure thats the size i got before. not bad, though.

the game doesn't add the body and the head together for a final score, you just get a score for the making a head for the snowman.

there is not set size you have to get in this level to pass it, it's just kinda a free-for-all level.

I got up on those cliffs a different way. :\

I rolled up inside a corner of the ice (one of them gets you to the top) and I carefully side-rolled right without losing items onto the top.

Now to try rolling up the trees...
