Circuit City is selling PS2 controllers for about $20 this week. (They're normally about $25.) The ad specifically mentions the silver ones, but maybe it means all of them. I suspect not. However, other stores like Wal-Mart do price matching. (Don't forget to bring the ad with you.) Maybe they'll sell any color for $20 if Circuit City won't.

I'll go find out for myself sometime this week (hopefully later today).

I still feel a bit awkward making a topic for this, but I'm authorized.

I went to Circuit City today. I asked somebody if it was only the silver ones on sale. As expected, he said it was. So I went to the nearest Wal-Mart and got 2 black ones. As expected, they couldn't have cared less. I bought both for $20 each. Yay! Oh, and I did remember to take the ad with me.

There's still 2 days left. I'm thinking of buying a few more. I actually considered buying about 5 total, but maybe that's overdoing it a bit.

If you see genuine Sony Dualshock 2 controllers brand new for $18.97, you should definitely buy at least one. It depends if that's a sale price. Wal-Mart typically doesn't have sales, so there's no real incentive to buy more than one if the price will be the same going forward.

I should have said the following in the top post: 1) The controllers being advertised are actual Sony Dualshock 2s. I've seen other brands for around $10 (maybe less), but that's not the point. 2) Your results may vary. Individual stores around the country/world may have different prices on various items.

I decided against buying any more. I ended up with 2 new ones. By the way, the regular price at the particular Wal-Mart where I bought them (price-matched with the ad): $24.96.

I heard at Wal-Mart the black controllers are $18.97. :heh

And yeah, 5 is overdoing it... just a bit. :)
