lol, wait until you meet my children!!! :lol

yea rayne is not a redhead... but good girl names from games are hard to come by. she has been known to wear blades on her wrists so...

sweet, cat's are very stealthy, so you better watch out she might slice you. my cat has his claws, but he only uses them to knead this super soft blanket and pillows.

If you go to my YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/whiskersinc/ look at some of my music videos and you'll see my cat, Granite. Or even better yet, look at the video "Yarn Wars Episode One: Silent Enemies." That's Granite as the... star of the show. :heh

discostu - September 15, 2008 11:28 PM (GMT)
im a get them out of my garden person :P
just a drain of money to me pets

FoominFan - September 15, 2008 11:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah, they DO drain your wallet, that's for sure. But it's a good investment in the long run: experience with animals and a loving companion.

If you click on my username, you'll go to my profile page, which has a picture of Granite as the photo. :D

is granite.... lying on granite? lol.

Arctic Phoenix - September 16, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
I prefer birds. I love cats to death but my mom's severely allergic to them and dogs, so I have to settle with Parakeets. I still love the birds, they're so adorable. I actually prefer Parakeets over the big birds. Parakeets have a softer, more gentle chirp. The squawking of the big ones gets to me after awhile.

I have one right now named Harry. My other one Misty died, but I had her since I was in 4th grade so at least she lived a full life.

Dogs are ok, but I hate it so much when they beg for food at the dinner table whenever I eat over someone's house. Though I do love Labs.

When I took that picture, I was thinking that too! But sadly, it's not granite. My patio is made out of... conglomerated... pebbles, I think. I'm really not sure! :lol

What Granite is doing right now: flopping. <--- I will update this when he is doing something different. :lol

ArcticPhoenix,

I love birds, and I wish I had at least one. But even though I find birds great as pets, I think it cruel to but them in a cage (just think how bored they get in there). :eek No offense to you or anything. :) And it stinks that your mom is allergic to cats. :(

Yeah I agree.

My current parakeet unfortunately hates going out of her cage, we always open the cage door for her to get out and everything. She won't come out. It's sad, because I always wanted to see her out of the cage. She's very skittish so maybe that's why. The one I used to have went out once in awhile though.

First the current ones:

user posted image

Top row: Junior and Mikey, brothers.
Second row: Pepper and Smokey. Pepper is not expected to live much longer as he's very sick(the pic is a few months old) and about 13 or 14 years old. Smokey is deaf.
Bottom row: Sweetie, Leo, and Missy. Sweetie and Leo came from my niece's house, they couldn't keep them anymore(I personally hate sweetie cause she tortures poor pepper). Missy is the devil incarnate and my grandmothers best little buddy who is also nearing 13/14ish.

Now the ones gone which was uber depressing to make this pic:

Top row: Tammy, Morris, Heidi, and Tabby. Morris and Heidi were twins. Morrie was a diabetic and need insulin each day. Heidi died from lung cancer. Tammy had nearly every organ failure possible by the middle of the day even though she was fine in the morning and Tabby was the only one who died naturally.
Second Row: Casper, Frit(Friskey), TJ. Casper slowly died over the course of a year from mouth cancer though he never hinted he was sick except for losing weight. He didn't visibly show he was sick until the very end. Frit was just about to be 20 years old when he died of old age though he had to be put down. And TJ got hurt and went downhill after that.

s0njas0n - September 17, 2008 12:40 AM (GMT)
your kittens are huge. and remember, say hi to pepper for me :)

vix - September 17, 2008 01:59 AM (GMT)
yeah, mikey and junior got very big very quickly. we got them in early may and they're already bigger than pepper.

pepper is sitting behind me, he says "meow"

FoominFan - September 17, 2008 03:22 AM (GMT)
Your cats are so cute! It's sad that some of them are nearing the end. :( I wish animals would live forever. :D

vix - September 17, 2008 05:27 PM (GMT)
thanks, and yeah, it's sad to see them go but in all the times i've lost a cat, another one picks up that cat's traits so they're never fully gone.

s0njas0n - September 17, 2008 06:10 PM (GMT)
i have yet to lose a pet, but hopefully that won't happen for a while. my cat is only 4...

vix - September 17, 2008 06:27 PM (GMT)
the oldest i have now are missy and pepper, both around 13 or 14 i think.

our dog is also not doing too well at the moment either, so it's either gonna be pepper or the dog but we'll see. it sucks that they can't tell you what is wrong.

FoominFan - September 18, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
In my wildest dreams, I wish pets could talk. :D
