So who on the East Coast is getting hit?
It's been raining heavy since 3:15 this afternoon and isn't expected to stop until after midnight.
Lots of flooding and what not around here though lucklily no power loss (yet) *knocks on wood*

It was raining crazily most of yesterday, but so far today there's nothing.
FoominFan - September 7, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
Hope you guys are okay. I'm over on the west coast, so (obviously) I'm not being affected.
The flooding sounds terrible. I heard more storms are coming. :O
May... The King of All Cosmos (?) be with you. :lol

Same here. There wasn't any flooding where I live from what I saw, but it still rained really hard.

I'm in Texas, so our attention is on Ike instead of Hanna. But I'm glad all you east coast people are okay :)
vix - September 8, 2008 10:46 PM (GMT)
I've been following Ike too. man, he looks like a monster. matt, are you close to where they predict he might hit?
FoominFan - September 9, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Ike looks scary. :eek :eek :eek It's supposed to hit southeastern Texas on Friday or Saturday. Hope you're gonna be okay, matt!
s0njas0n - September 9, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
i totally don't keep up with the weather. i don't have to, when i go to work people always tell me what's going on.

I'm in Dallas, but all my family is in Houston where I grew up. We were visiting last weekend, but had to cut our trip short when Gustav was approaching New Orleans. We were worried that the evacuees would cause horrendous traffic on the freeways. Anyway, Ike does look scary, and his name makes me think of Ike Turner, who was also scary....
waxc3 - September 9, 2008 01:14 PM (GMT)
ol ike turner messed up cuba last night! some islands were destroyed.
FoominFan - September 9, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
Ike Turner... :lol :lol :lol Wow, you guys...
Anyway, hope everything goes well with... Ike... Turner. :D

I got a ridiculous number of text messages from some friends about Hanna -_-; They were overly worried about it and had bunkered down out of town at some cheap motel. Personally my family has been through so many tropical storms that if Hanna had shown up here it probably would've been just another rain storm to us XD;;
Heck Edouard *did* show up over here earlier this summer and I literally walked outside to no rain, relatively tame cloudy skies, and flipped him the bird. XD;;; Ahem. When Gustav swung nearby, we didn't see a drop of rain. :| But between Ed and Gus we got a thunderstorm that gave us more rain, wind, and thunder/lightning than either of the other two did.
However yes my family is keeping an eye on Ike (I'm in Houston >.>). We probably won't go anywhere unless it gets to a strong cat 3 or a 4 though. My folks are stubborn like that. We haven't had a hurricane here for nearly 25 years though. We'll see how it goes.
Edit: Btw, don't get me wrong. XD; I always wish everyone the best for the storms but I don't get nearly so worried about them myself. ^^;
