Title: SNES or Genesis?

Which console did you like better?

I had both as a kid and I actually still have them. I think I spent more time on the SNES though. Mario RPG was pure awesome, Super Mario Kart. Oh man, the days. Super Mario World, I loved that one.

i still have my original snes, but i just got my genesis last year. i haven't played any games on it for the simple fact that it won't turn on. it worked before i brought it home, but haven't gotten it to work since. it might just be unplugged, but i dont' feel like dragging all the cords out to find out just yet, but i'm going to find out this weekend.

i said all that to say, snes, lol.

SNES all the way--never had a Genesis. (I'm still buying games from series that hooked me in the NES or SNES eras: Final Fantasy, Tales of..., Star Ocean, Breath of Fire, Dragon Quest, and so forth.)

Such a pain, that Star Ocean IV's going to the X360, but Final Fantasy XIII will be on the PS3. I think I have to buy both. :-(

i've never played star ocean, but i'm hearing a lot of buzz about the new game. i never really played an rpg before 2 years ago either so that might explain it.

plus super nintedo had super mario 3 and that was one of my favorite games.

super mario 3? the one on all stars?

didnt have a megadrive but
turtles in time
final fight
contra
street fighter
super mario world

and many more made it the better console for me.
i had a supergameboy adaptor so i could play gameboy games on my tv as well

is the genesis and the megadrive different?

yeah, super mario all-stars. in fact, i loved that whole cartridge. unfortunately, i was looking for it the other day and i couldn't find it, i have no idea where it went :(

yeah, that was one of my favorites since my dad gave the NES away when i was young. the lost levels is hard man, that's what was supposed to be the real mario 2 here instead of what we got but people said it was too hard for the US. :lol

i liked the lost levels though for the most part. the levels were creative and confusing. they made you think.

Definitely Genesis. Sure SNES has a lot of good games, but the Genesis is home of Classics. Sonic 1-3 (especially 2) Streets of Rage 1-3(again, especially 2)

I still play Streets of Rage 2 to this day.

It was really close though, because the SNES has Kirby Super Star.

Overall, I must say that both are amazing with some of the best games ever made.

The Genesis needs more love. Streets of Rage 2 is still #1 on my list of favorite games. And it has a wonderful soundtrack too.

ok, i got my genesis up and running, nothing wrong with it, just unplugged as i suspected. now all of my systems are connected to the tv correctly. i played a little aladdin on the genesis today, and it's not quite what i remember, but it was still fun. i was just trying to see if it would work and got sucked in for a little while.

i just looked it up and the snes, genesis, and gamegear games were all completely different. now i need the snes version too. it's the only movie game i've ever liked.

i had/have both. still have both hooked up as well. :)
i loved them both in different ways. just like today with different systems.
overall i liked the nintendo more, and that could be because of the street fighter games.
