the story was more straight forward this time and continued with the rip in the sky. it was good though, i liked it. the next one looks hilarious.
s0njas0n - June 25, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
how many are there going to be? and do you know when the next one is coming out?
vix - June 25, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
4 i believe and the according to the preview on the dvd, the next one is due out holiday 2008.

decent but it drags a lot in the 2nd half.
i found benders big score a lot better
vix - June 26, 2008 01:55 AM (GMT)
yeah, i kinda agree that it drags. there were parts where it felt flat but overall it was still funny.

It was a hilarious new take on the universe destroying monster theme. I liked it.
What I found more surprising were the writers' plans for Scruffy. I hope it's not canonical, but check out the deleted scene called "Scruffy, the Janitor". I found it odd the only time he showed up was as 2 contacts in Fry's cell phone...

i did watch the deleted scenes. though i offhand forget what happened...wasn't he killed or something like that...
waxc3 - June 30, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
i bought it a couple days ago but keep forgetting to watch it.
s0njas0n - July 1, 2008 03:56 AM (GMT)
i finally got around to finishing it today, it turned out to be a bit better than i thought it would.
vix - July 1, 2008 06:49 PM (GMT)
it still had some weird moments. :lol
s0njas0n - July 1, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
some? the whole movie was weird. but that's the way of futurama.
vix - July 1, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
well then weirder than normal. :lol
waxc3 - July 9, 2008 07:11 AM (GMT)
i really enjoyed it. watched the movie, and all of the extras in one sitting... i think i wont love paying 120 dollars for these 4 movies though!
s0njas0n - July 9, 2008 10:54 AM (GMT)
$120? um, where do you shop? lol. mine would be $80 if i got them all on release date. best buy has them for $20 the first week, but i had some rewards and the first one was on sale over the weekend for $16.99, plus i had a 10% off coupon. i ended up paying $ .30 for it. ah, i love it :D
vix - July 9, 2008 05:09 PM (GMT)
yeah, if you pay 120$ for these combined, you're an idiot. :P
i think the first one was even cheaper than 20 when it was first release, possibly even 15. who knows.
waxc3 - July 10, 2008 09:27 PM (GMT)
okay, okay... yea over 80 dollars though! i bought the first two at best buy, but with tax it seemed to be in the middle 20s... they are lucky i love the show so much, but i am happy to see more episodes!
s0njas0n - July 10, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
is the show supposed to revive after these "movies" or is it just going to go away again? btw, i saw the box sets at best buy for $14.99 over the weekend. how tempting.
vix - July 11, 2008 02:05 AM (GMT)
i'm not sure if it's gonna disappear. maybe they'll do more movies after this.
i have all the box sets, some of my favorites.
