Title: Beautifully... lame D:
Description: We Love Katamari LITE

Of course, many of you are already aware of this:

Beautiful Katamari, while hyped and still a good game, is lacking heavily in comparison to it's older siblings, Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari.

*sigh*

If only they had put a few more months into it, and maybe, y'know... gave it some more Oomph.

More complex stages, instead of rehashing the same groupings of them into one big mishmash.

...myeh, oh well.

Just figured I'd spout off about this.

I know many of you agree with me D:

BUT, who still loves Beautiful Katamari anyway?! :D -Raises hand-

haha, let's beat this dead horse again, lol... while good in it's own respect, it definitely left katamari fans wanting more. they didn't target a large enough audience and they upset people with the pseudo-low price tag, but that didn't keep most of us from dishing out our dough for the dlc and seething on the inside. i still play it on occasion and in fact, last time someone asked for help, i even got 100 pts on cloud 9 forest, lol. i still haven't gotten enough ambition to get good scores on all of the levels.

if they had included the dlc in the original AND released more levels and content AND made it multi console, I would have been happy.

pseudo-low price tag,

I wish I could get a pseudo low price.

s0njas0n - April 20, 2008 01:23 AM (GMT)
aw, sorry, i know the prices are terrible there... :(

marbig - April 20, 2008 01:46 AM (GMT)
Yep. Oh well, someday soon. I'd rather wait until the price goes down, because apparently it is not worth that much.

vix - April 20, 2008 02:04 AM (GMT)
yeah, if i were you, i'd wait for a sale. it's not worth it to be that high AND pay for dlc too.

Danteku - April 22, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
Aw man... yeah like Vix said, it's not worth a whole lot. I mean, it is, but it isn't.

We Love Katamari was amazing. Beautiful Katamari is like... take that, add some things, then be like "Oh, shit, uh... cut the budget in half."

Sorry mate for the prices there, though.

BUT YEAH.

On another note, I just got me a PSP and orderd MMK for it from Amazon.

Thoughts?

marbig - April 22, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
MMK is fun. Controls aren't great, but it's the price we pay for Katamari on the go.

vix - April 22, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
mmk has some really fun levels though like camel, ant, gorilla, etc. despite the funky controls. i still hope one day for a ps2 port.

Meh, MMK is even worse than Beautiful Katamari in my opinion. :(

I don't think it's just the controls either, I just think it was too flawed. On the other hand the ending mini-game is the best part. :D

vix - April 23, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
the mini game ending was awesome. i think was i didn't like was the points and the random level lines...like how the levels didn't flow as you got bigger.

I agree with you, vix. The one flaw with the katamari games (I regret to say,) is that it leaves you always wanting more, and because it's so addicting, you finish the new stuff so quickly that you need more the next day. That is so frusterating! Because of this, I don't play the katamari games much. :crybaby :(
